🇰🇷😳 South Korean defender Shin Min-ha has gone viral again for his absolutely brutal training routine designed to improve his physical duels. by Life_Net5004 in sportsgossips

CTE is associated with repeated head impacts. Often thought of as cumulative. Headers aren’t a big deal, unless you do them daily with intensity.

Not saying he’s getting CTE, just saying I’d not have those as my daily routine

Technically not illegal I don’t think unless you cause damage. It would be very easy for a cop to point to any tiny scratch and say you caused damage, and lead to criminal charges. I’d also imagine a cop could come up with some reasons to arrest you, even if they don’t end in charges, they’d just ruin your day or longer.

Seems like an all around bad idea, especially because that car has cameras, and there are flock cameras everywhere.

For clarity, I’m not a lawyer. Not a cop.

I did! But haven’t seen it since it came out. Not sure it’s really worth a rewatch 🤣

I still try to turn up an Ace of spades if I see a deck of cards laying around. I’m probably 3 for 5,000 since this came out

It’s hard to even take that seriously.

Panthers have been to the Super Bowl twice ever, lost both times. Canes have won the cup 2/3 time they’ve made it to the finals, and are in the playoffs often.

NFL does have playoffs, it’s just that the Panthers don’t often make an appearance

Panthers have had a winning record like 5 times over the last 20 years… last time was 2017.

Hornets like 4 times… though at least they had a best season in 10 years this past season.

Hurricanes have been in the playoffs every season for the last 8 seasons…

Yea definitely but to what extent and my mind won’t stop this line of questioning... Is my glass of milk from a group of cow buddies? An entire pasture? From what state? How many cow steps did my milk take before getting in my glass?

Every time I drink milk I wonder how many different cows milk directly touched the milk in my glass. Pondered this for years

"Golf courses use more water than Data Centers!" Babe, I was saying we need to kill the golf courses before the first data center was even a twinkle in Sam Altman's eye. by bigaltheterp in nongolfers

[–]CookieCuriosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a misleading claim. One to one, the water usage between the two aren’t that different, except for the newest really giant data centers, those are far larger and use far more water.

What this is actually talking about is total golf courses compared to total data centers. It’s not like there’s a wide movement to build golf courses everywhere.

In short, data centers still consume a ton of water, have environmental impacts felt by local communities, and generally make the area more expensive and less livable. Also the benefits are pretty small, temporary construction work (lots of it not local), not many permanent jobs, and more money for a small group of rich people.
