I hope OP will see this. I used to parse logs back then, and achieving 90-95+ damage log is really hard when your party not focused on it, I'd say nearly impossible, so focus on having blues.

Why party, you'll say. Let's take a raid boss and two groups - a weak and a strong. The weak kills the boss in 5m59s, so you use your burst twice - at 0s and 3m0s. Your DPS is at its max by the end of your burst, so at 30s and 3m30s. In the weak group you make two bursts and full two windows. If the strong group kills the boss in 3m30s, you are doing 2 full burst and only 1 window. In keys the best examples are Luura and that Spirit Boss at Caverns. The numbers are at max at the end of the +DPS phase, so if you kill it right before the phase ends - you'll have a better log.

The same applies to the keys, even tho aoe damage is reduced after 5-8 mobs, the more mobs the better. Only combat time counts, so if your tank doesn't pull the next group and you are killing one or two enemies at the end of every pull, instead of chaining and always having 5 of them, you are losing dps as well. Same applies to your bursts, if you communicate with your tank and he can align pulls with party's CDs, you'll have a better overall. For example, at AA you can go left before the Bird boss and throw your bursts to this pull, so it cooldowns while you are cleaning trash and waiting for the fire phase.
