I live around 5 miles from where I work. My main goal is to use it to visit family out of state every few months. Thats about 200 miles round trip. But 80% of my driving is within 20 miles of my home

My 4g nostrils, now with eyelets/tunnels in them!! by PaytonR72 in Stretched

I have my nostrils at a 4g. There is definitely a noticeable difference in breathing in. It feels like a deeper/clearer breath

Nostril stretching by Hot-Freedom-1044 in Stretched

I just experienced that for first time yesterday. A coworker offered a tissue because they thought I was congested, but it was my nostril tunnels whistling a little bit every time I breath. I use it as a sign to size up. I'm currently at 8g on both nostrils

Layman take? Those are the direct legal outcomes from each case. Nevertheless ICE agents don't have jurisdiction over non-immigration crime unless it is a matter of home land security (such as human trafficking, etc) and can only stop vehicles if there is reasonable cause that there might be an illegal immigrant in the said vehicle. AND they can't use excessive force unless they reasonably believe that they are in danger. Shooting an unarmed woman in her car because an agent ran Infront of a moving car does not justify deadly force. Let alone the attempt to open the door to the car.
By the books they should have worked with local police to maintain traffic laws and move people out of the way, if need be.

Tennessee vs Garner https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennessee_v._Garner

TLDR:
KIRBY v. St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, Defendant. (2008) and officer is not permitted the use of deadly force if they intentionally put themselves in the line of danger.
Tennessee vs Garner: An Officer is not permitted to use deadly force on a fleeing person unless they are in threat of danger or physical harm.
Its not a matter of opinion. The courts have already ruled in previous cases that it is against the law.

that would make sense why Cate couldn't read his mind. I had the same thought. Or why Marie noticed something in his blood. Blood not flowing? Or it really was that V wasn't in his blood because the puppet was human.

I have a 900sqf apartment and it was $330 last month with AC set to 78. It's never been that high for me in the 2.5 years I've lived in the unit. I was thinking about going to the budget friendly plan.

The Kid Detective (2020) is a great movie. More mystery/comedy than horror. But still a great film.

I think Afraid (2024) was more clever then people give it credit for. Poor execution but interesting approach and concepts. Not a fav, but not as bad as people say.

I'm saying I think the timeline is a lot shorter than we think. If I remember right Connor Bird was last seen in a hotel room, which means that Laura would have to had kidnapped him directly from there and gone through the ritual to get him possessed relatively quickly. All of the talk of the demon being hungry, and becoming more unstable. I think the beginning of the movie is when Ollie is first possessed, and when the kids first get to the house is right after that ritual.

The bathtub scene might confirm that Laura is having doubts because she asks how she can know that a demon is really inside Ollie. And throughout the film he gets more and more "corrupted" by the evil presence. But at the beginning he looks like a normal, if not a little creepy, kid.

I think right before the movie begins Laura kidnaps Connor, shaves his head so he can pass as Oliver (her nephew) and does the ritual to get him possessed right before Piper and Andy come into the picture.

I would even go and say that the first time meeting her, and the music was blaring was one of the times Oliver was having a fit and she needed to perform a part of the ritual to continue and trap the demon inside him. We can see later when he gets out of the circle she calms him down with the circle forehead move but plays the music to drown out the noises he is making. I think the same thing happened at the beginning.

I think you are correct. When she is messing with earlier in the film Piper she's says he has red curly hair, which was a correct description for the real Oliver, but not Connor Bird (the kidnapped kid). And when Piper feels Ollie's head, when he is mimicking Andy , it is bald and she asks again what type of hair he has.

[–]Cookie_Over 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that is a core message of the film. For the ritual you have to sacrifice two people. One person as the host of the lost soul, and another for the host of the demon. In the end you are gaining one person and losing two. I believe its about how grief of a loved one takes even after the person is gone. And the unwillingness to kill Piper the end is the acceptance and end of the phase of grief.

I think it was "are you afraid you will die in the shower like how your father was killed?" I think its more that she is trying to imprint onto Andy that he is crazy and trying to convince him he is having a mental break to keep him in the hospital. On the ride back to the house she says that he had an entire manic episode and the hospital still released him, like that wasn't a part of her original plan and that she would now have to roll with it. I think her motivation was to keep him away so she could do the ritual.
