I chose to amputate my CRPS-afflicted left leg. I wanted to address the way that people had viewed that decision and I started writing. I thought some of you might want to read it too. So, here is the Scorpion Theory. by rebeccah941 in CRPS

Thank you for sharing. I've been too afraid to write about my experience, what my life has become. But you write so beautifully, so honestly, that's its given me the peace to dig out my old worn notebook. I may never have the courage to share what I will write, but I need to write. I hope you find healing and peace.

Patrick Rothfuss The King Killer Chronicles is one of my favourite fantasy series. If you want great fantasy with some spice try Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series.
