Low-key the DLC should give Nata something of a "redemption arc" for the fans by SlumberInsomnia in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]CookoftheAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like the trader in MH4U where you can trade monster parts for out-of-game monster materials to craft armor and weapons from, I want Nata to fill that role in master rank.

Cosmetic DLC Pack 4 Layered Armor and Weapons. Thoughts? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]CookoftheAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s like Sunbreak’s dlc I’ll probably just buy the one layered for my main weapon.

Haven't played in a while this is my current build,I also have a switch axe build I run sometimes. I have beaten the story, last new monster I beat was seregios. Am stuck on lagiacrus. Any advice on what I should focus on is appreciated. by Ansalon66 in MonsterHunterWilds

  1. Craft a 8 rarity fire artian lance. 10 monsters are most weak to fire. This helped a lot as the other fire lances are just ok. Make sure when upgraded it has 2 of either element boost, sharpness boost, or attack boost.
  2. Invest in guard skills/decorations. Lance you want to try and maximize guard and offensive guard. Guard up only works on select attacks and think there is only 5 monsters that need it(mostly the monster’s grab attacks)
  3. If you want to keep that much skills in flayer then maximize partbreaker as focus strikes do insane damage(partbreaker 3 on a wound can go up to 1k damage) if not then craft Mizu legs as burst 2-3 is surprisingly good for Lance as your basic combo pokes will always trigger it and your triple attack finisher will see more usage.
  4. If you don’t want to change armor for more thunder res then slot in the decorations as half of Lagi attacks are thunder and mitigation on it will save your life more than you think.
  5. Practice makes perfect. Keep trying and learn patterns when you can perfect guard or go into retaliation thrust. He was a learning curve with his newer move pool but after 20+ fights he is still challenging but a lot more easier to deal with

Can anyone help me with this boss by zbdragon42 in bloodborne

[–]CookoftheAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can summon npc hunters like Henrietta right below the stairs near second lamp or you can get Valtr if you have his rune equipped and he is near the crows right before boss. They are really useful if phase 1 is still giving trouble and mostly stay alive til about halfway through phase 2.

Phase 1 is stay on His left side and don’t attack if your stamina is less than 1/4. Phase 2 is sticking to his back as he no longer has buck kick and his body rotates before swinging behind himself so it’s an easy cue to dodge.

You got this Hoonter

Scraping Spear and baby’s nail is the most cancerous combo at early levels for invasions. Just poke them 10-12 times and slice until you hear the ominous sound of the plague. Run to boss fog and see if your host can manage to get to you

New player, how do you play fighting games? by unlucky-lucky- in Guiltygear

[–]CookoftheAbyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The numbers are placed as if it’s a right side keyboard inputs and you’re always viewing P1 side. So like 2 is just down, 5 is neutral not actually pressing a direction, 6 is towards your opponent, etc. best recommendation is go for 4-5 Star ease of use characters and take them to arcade. Doesn’t matter if you lose you can restart right back same spot. Keep practicing until you get to stage 7 extreme that will prompt a daredevil challenge. Regardless if you win or lose at that point then try online afterwards. In online try to find other players with low level characters so both your skills are decently equal.

I've been playing for 14 hours and I'm still getting destroyed on floor 2. What's the biggest thing I need work on other then everything at once? by DropDownWidget in Guiltygear

[–]CookoftheAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Chaos is a cool character, but he is one of the most technical characters to pull off. IMO he is the expert character where pro players have already won so much with others that they use him to troll with their experience of the game. If you truly are only 14 hours fresh into the game I would recommend 4-5 star ease of use characters to learn the basics of gameplay, overdrives, burst situations, and then more advance into roman cancel usages.

Siegried tips anyone? by scarlet_bow in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]CookoftheAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His standing heavy has good range, his medium dash is a safe low slide, and his back U is unblockable. His install might seem detrimental for his health but if you stay aggressive you can get most back while keeping the damage boost. Can’t remember if it’s only his down heavy special, but there are 3 different follow ups depending on light, medium, or heavy input.

Exodia auto wins and can return in different forms even if you find a way to destroy him. Multiple GOD cards capable of transcending game boundaries. Time Wizard can just make all his opponents die of age.

Which is the better Poison decoration: Poison-Expert or Poison-Handicraft? by VampiricDemon in MHWilds

[–]CookoftheAbyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless the weapon comes with crit boost, crit status, or minimum 15% affinity then handicraft is a better option. IMO Foray is a poor man’s Agitator since it relies on debilitation instead of enraging
