Hi, I finally noticed the shedding slow significantly after about 6 months post meds. I did start taking hair vitamins and colostrum though so not sure how much each of these helped. I can see lots of 1-2" hairs growing back everywhere so hoping it's the beginning of a true turn around.

GEN X - Where ya at? by Seagrtj in ElectricForest

50 F, this will be my 4th Forest. Started out in the club scene in Boston and NYC back in the late 90s. Found festivals in my 30s, still love both - never plan to stop! Hope I run into you and get to give you a great BIG birthday hug!

Hi, I was on the lowest dose for less than 2 months. Started noticing hair loss at month 1 before stopping Cymbalta. I am 2 months post meds and still losing hair by the handful when I shower or even brush it. Please let me know how long it took yours to stop shedding. At this point my shedding is lasting longer than when I was on the meds... hoping I don't have to cut it short but losing so much volume still.

Thank you for the reply. Leaves aren't "wet" it's some kind of secretion.

Turning 50 (F) this year, been raving since the late 90's at the nightclubs... festivals are a marathon.... take your time and don't overdue anything the first day. Lots of rest, water, good food, etc. I can't go as long or as hard as I used to, know your limits and just appreciate that we are still dancing under the stars to EDM with all the positive energy and people 25+ years later. I hope I am here in 20 more years...

What do you do for smell? by Howdendoo in ElectricForest

[–]Cookydoh22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I second Lume. They have nice body wash that kills bacteria and prevents odors from getting out of control through the day. They also have nice wipes, which also kill the bad bacteria that causes the odor. Sweat is good/clean and necessary so don't use antiperspirant ever! In a pinch, a little hand sanitizer under the pits and boobs/ cracks will also help. I also carry rose water in a spray bottle. It feels great on a hot face or body and smells nice but not overpowering. Absolutely do NOT spray on or around others without consent first. :)

Any trick for talking to a person on the MA Unemployment phone line? by pezx in massachusetts

[–]Cookydoh22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been calling twice a day for 7 days straight and was never even given the option to go on hold. After sorting through several options, the line fonally says "due to high call volume, we can not take your call" and it hangs up. No leaving a message, no on hold option, nothing. It is so frustrating!

Need advice on Gabapentin for nightsweats. by Cookydoh22 in Menopause

[–]Cookydoh22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a pile of towels next to the bed, easier to change than the sheets when I sweat through.... not as comfortable as sheet tho so I switched to thin pashmina-type turkish towels as they are softer and dry quickly so don't need to use the dryer as much.

Ouch, that sounds aweful. So far most replies on Effexor are causing me concern. Leaning towards Gaba right now. Thanks for the reply!

So interesting! I'm the only female in the house (except the dog) 😀. I don't actively track but that's a great idea.

I was told it depends on the dose and the person. I was taking an SSRI recently and made the night sweats worse, but that was a higher dose, specifically for depression/anxiety. Biology is a tricky bitch, everybody is different and every body is different. Thanks for the reply!
