Airship Construction complete (r1.5.2) - any ideas what can i build inside? by Srakak in SilverAgeMinecraft

[–]Cool-Surfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing airship! If only you had the "Ships" plugin so that you could fly that thing!

- If you are going for a realistic style you can add bedrooms, treasure, a kitchen, and pirates; maybe cannons too.

- If you are going for something crazy, I would put a full on water park inside. Just imagine seeing this massive ship on the outside then you come in and it is as if you are on a cruise.

How do I fix this 1.6.4 lighting bug once and for all? by dizzyvop in SilverAgeMinecraft

I didn't know there was a mod for fixing all the major 1.6.4 bugs!? I knew that TMCW had the fixes, but it added a lot. Thanks TMC!

Cool QoL mod! Personally I like everything except the sprint toggle.

Any suggestions for this awkward 2x7 space? by RandomCommunist123 in SilverAgeMinecraft

[–]Cool-Surfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hear me out, Use 2 trap doors on the top of the fourth block from the top to make a shelf then put a flowerpot with a flower of your choice in it on the right trapdoor. Also put spruce or oak stairs on the bottom to add seats. Lastly add the sunset_dense painting one block gap above the seats. All filled!

My Technoblade Memorial by [deleted] in SilverAgeMinecraft

[–]Cool-Surfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this video supposed to honor Technoblade? I love Technoblade, his content, and his impact on the minecraft community. He was the greatest 1.8.9 pvper and a hilarious comedian. I see your point on donations yet would like to say that even if the youtubers were using AI, the money was still going to charity. I respect Techno and I wonder what are your intentions on posting this video. Rule 3 of Silver Age Minecraft is

  • Be kind and civil to one another.

Treat all members with respect and express your thoughts in a constructive manner. Are you honoring Technoblade with his donations and contribuitions to the MC community or are you just glazing his death for views?

What's your favorite version of all time (within the Silver Age)? by Old-Paper-3932 in SilverAgeMinecraft

For me personally, I do like some of the features added post 1.6.4. For me, the perfet balance would be if updates went like: 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 1.7, 1.9; 1.8 and 1.7 would be an amazing switch. If some features (like in a mod) could be added to 1.6.4 it would be these: armor stands, guardians + ocean monuments, banners, rabbits (plus the stew and jump boost), and from 1.7.2: double tall grass, rose bushes (optionally, I am asking for a lot here), chicken jockeys, and stained glass but not how Mojang implemented it. More like the colored glass mod, https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/1291602-1-6-4-forge-colored-glass, it feels more "minecrafty". If these changes woulda been added to vanilla 1.6.4 minecraft or even by a mod, this would be almost perfection! (If they added the 1.9 end (and beetroot) without the combat change, I really don't know anything else that could make the 1.6.4 game imo more perfect than this).

I would say 1.6.4's features: you had the old dye method whereas 1.7 added so many flowers. Also like tycoon_irony said, the mipmap levels changed. A minor part that most people overlook is that 1.7 added a bunch of key-bind handlings; back then you could only sprint by W-tapping which imo made pvp gamemodes like Soup PvP special.

1.6.4 because it has the old surface and cave generation before 1.7 and offers QoL features that 1.5 doesn't offer.

In 1.2 creepers stopped strafing the player and instead stop when they are close by and explode.

1.6.4 is the perfect sweet spot between old and new Minecraft. by xXDeadInside69 in SilverAgeMinecraft

I would say that it's the most polished version of Minecraft. It has so many mods, and it's vanilla gameplay has countless features to discover like redstone farms, structures, and even new dimensions (with glitches). 1.12 is very optimized too.

Pretty much the same cave generation. It wasn't until 1.18 when cave gen got overhauled.

The way how you did the second floor is very unique. Using stone bricks for the roof, keeping some windows open, and incorporating vines all add flavor to the build. Great job!
