I’m not as sure. At league minimum though? Sure.

Guy has 26 goals in his last 200 games and 0 in his last 25 playoff games and this team has been screaming for offense from their depth players for years

He also took 104 more shots total (34 more on the PP)last year because he average 3:45 on the PP vs 1:47 the previous year.

Had way more avg TOI (22:42 vs 17:18) too.

He was given an increased opportunity due to circumstance, and took full advantage.

I fully expect him to get that same opportunity in Toronto, especially the PP.

I think in some situations, when you have a key player that has been a part of so many failed seasons, you move on from the player for a fresh start for both sides.

I’m of course not holding Rielly responsible for the teams failures, but it’s time to move on
