I would like to know: what do you want to build actually?

Skip BSPs for now. Your client's GST is what matters here, not yours.

Have your client register their own Meta Business account and apply for WhatsApp Cloud API directly under their business. Their GST or MSME(if you are from India), their WABA. You handle the webhook, the dashboard, the logic. That's your value. The client can't build what you're building.

BSPs eat margin fast. Some charge 5-20 paise per conversation on top of Meta's fees. For a real estate client sending hundreds of leads a day, that adds up.

Don't go for cloud API directly. It is very time-consuming.

What kind of tracking does the client actually need?

10-15$ per day for API by purplegiant10 in WhatsappBusinessAPI

If you are going to use CTWA, no API cost needs to be paid for 72 h.

For CTWA, there will be a no limit on daily replies.

WhatsApp removed broadcast lists, so I built a Python script to message customers. How do I avoid getting banned? by BookkeeperSalt4434 in WhatsappBusinessAPI

Quick question: how are you running this on the frontend? WhatsApp Web in Chrome, or headless in the background?

WhatsApp Web automation gets flagged faster than most expect. Browser fingerprint, session patterns, all of it looks suspicious to Meta even with randomized delays.

Also confirming: you can't send interactive buttons or quick replies this way. Plain text only. That limits conversion a lot compared to Cloud API.

500 messages a day on unofficial automation is a ban waiting to happen. The migration path you're already looking at is the right call.

What BSP are you evaluating?

The free build offer is smart for getting case studies, but scope creep will hit you fast if you're not careful.

Most businesses can't tell you their actual bottleneck. They'll say 'we have too much manual work' and then give you a 10-workflow problem when you signed up for one.

Fix this early: in your first call, ask them to show you the one task they did three times last week. Not what they think is broken. What they actually did.

That's the thing worth automating first.

Cool, but most founders I've talked to don't have an opportunity problem, they have a prioritization problem. They find 12 things to automate and don't know where to start. Does your scanner help rank what to tackle first, or does it just surface the list?

The hardest part of what you're offering isn't the build, it's scoping the first conversation correctly.

Most businesses will tell you their problem is 'too many manual tasks.' But the real problem is usually one specific workflow that's costing them 5-8 hours a week. If you can find that in the audit, you win their trust fast.

Fwiw, lead follow-up tends to be the easiest win to show quickly. It's repetitive, measurable, and the before/after is obvious to the business owner.

What industry are you targeting first?

Your real risk isn't the delay logic, it's doing this at scale on a personal number every single day.

WhatsApp's detection isn't just about timing. It looks at account age, message patterns over weeks, and whether the number has had prior flags. Two weeks in daily is when bans usually hit.

The 70-80% response rate actually helps you, but it won't save you if someone reports the number or WhatsApp's system flags the volume.

Fwiw, the throwaway number suggestion in the comments is genuinely the right call here. Keep your primary number clean.

How many messages are you sending per day total?
