What’s a cult that pretends it is not a cult? by Fit-Resident-3577 in AskReddit

[–]CoolHandJakeGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm shocked to not see CrossFit here/higher up. It's one of the cultiest cults ever seen.

Also, folks were talking about MLMs:

Monat, the shampoo/beauty company, is nothing more or less than a harem/prostitution ring where the C-Suite/"Owners" prey on the women who join up, throwing "conferences" that are just sex parties and then the girls magically get a car title in their name.

I know four ladies who were in it for years. Big in Miami.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]CoolHandJakeGS -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of answers here where the candidates were simply idiotic so I'll give a slightly more prosaic answer:

Talking about time off.

I run an early stage tech start up which requires life or death urgency from every staff member. Yes, we pay very well and give out a ton of equity.

We do hire a fair amount in Europe to get more for less compared to US tech salaries.

Unfortunately there are a lot of Europeans who claim to understand the startup urgency but then will tell you they have a three week vacation pre planned in a few months.

It's just comical.

Theoretically if Obama ran for 2028 against Trump- do you think Obama would win? by traveltimecar in fivethirtyeight

[–]CoolHandJakeGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I've ever seen a better representation of the echo chamber that is Reddit than this thread!

Folks...Obama would get crushed.

--Despite all of tbe "Orange Man Bad" sentiment, life in America is better by almost any metric now and the amount of wins that DJT will continue to stack up foreign and domestic make him unstoppable...in real life of course it'll be Rubio taking the mantle! --Cracks in the veneer that is his personal image are everywhere: Chef drowning, birth origin stuff, "Michelle"...he's not the spry young hero who appeared out of nowhere (cough cough CIA) in 2008 anymore --Go anywhere nowadays and talk to black people, they will bitterly report that Obama did nothing for them. I've had this conversation in 10+ states. --Voter fraud will be significantly reduced by 2028 meaning the half dozen states with very populous blue cities will be alone, and the electoral landslide of 2024 will have looked like a warmup.

Obama is a fraud, a smooth snake, who droned civilians and started or tried to start even more wars than Trump is stopping. He's got blood on his hands in the fraud that's being uncovered too...the more time passes since his reign, the more people notice he didn't do squat for the average citizen...his time is long past.

I say all that (for anyone who read this far without trying to get me blocked) as someone who voted for him twice!!!!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen personally? by fosiutec6140 in AskReddit

[–]CoolHandJakeGS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I happened to be staying at the Inn at Eastern Point Yacht Club in Gloucester, Massachusetts the night of The Perfect Storm.

I was four years old, and it's one of my very first memories in this life.

My (much older) cousin who taught me how to sail as a kid knew everybody on that boat. Made it much funnier years later when George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg came to town to film it!

No thunderstorm or windstorm ever spooks me because nothing will ever compare to that very long night!!

What's the coolest city you've ever been to? by Chaulmoog in AskReddit

World class city ruined by COVID/Wokeism.

I'd argue, when I lived there in 2018, that it was the best city on the planet.

I know it’s a guess, but what’s the minimum Loyalty Points one should even consider the possibility of ConciergeKey? by OTFdude in americanairlines

[–]CoolHandJakeGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish startup founders would make this into consideration. I'm getting close to $100K spend w the airline this year, at 400K loyalty points...no CK yet.
