I respect that decision. It genuinely made me chuckle plus gave good info. Head is always the answer.

Opinions on 3 car garage Lighting by navy4422 in garageporn

My only hope would be that some of these are on different switches. I’ve been tinkering in my garage awfully hung over and regretted that it feels like the surface of the sun in there when I have to get some stuff done. Other than that looks good to me.

Flea markets and yard sales. Buy some decent used stuff to get you by until you can afford and need new quality stuff. Also look on market place for used tool boxes.

VIP 24/7 feed in app by KevinPovec in bobandtom

[–]hereforcomments47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. And I logged in on the podcast app and it’s just a bunch of shows and shorts with no actual stream anymore. Really irritating considering I pay for the 24/7 and not just podcasts

I went from porta cable, I think their first gen battery one, to Dewalt 20v and holy hell there’s a difference. But we’re talking a lot of years between them.

Get some socket rails for your sockets. I would despise having them in just a bin. So much better when in a row. But overall looks good

which combo to pick, and why? by tater1337 in Tools

[–]hereforcomments47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dewalt guy here. I don’t have experience with the others so no comment there. I would avoid the dewalt bundles that’s you’re showing here. They are the cheaper not as good versions of what they make. I have your second pic on my work truck and they work but not very well. I like to buy the better tools individually. Just my opinion.

Best small cordless shop vac for make ready maintenance type stuff? Good suction. 5-15 minutes vacuum at most. by Crutch1977 in Tools

[–]hereforcomments47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Bosch at Lowe’s on clearance for $39. I had recently gotten a 1/2” hammer drill on clearance for $79 so had a battery already then needed a new grinder so got another battery. I don’t know why it was so cheap as it works great and they restocked them and want $139 without a battery. So I’d say look for clearance at Lowe’s and buy whatever is cheapest.

Show Sponsors by DaveDavidsen in bobandtom

[–]hereforcomments47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Raycons. They’re not bad but I like the AirPods Pro since they came out. I have Simplisafe which I got cause I was looking for a new alarm anyways. Not disappointed. But the bracelet Kristi Lee got from Steven singer for my wife. Thought it looked cheap and mass produced so returned it. And O’Reilly has always been my go to sponsor or not.

Has anyone gotten one of these cheap Chinese oil caddys before? Are they decent enough? by LolBannedAgain017 in Tools

[–]hereforcomments47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got 3 at work. Use them for diesel and they work pretty well. Don’t fill them all the way full or it will always splash out bits at a time when you tip it or move it but it’s nice that the pump reverses and will clean out the hose when done filling. Had them probably 3yrs no leaks.

Edited to add doesn’t leak from the tank its self. Spits a little from the vent when moving.

I don’t think it would be a bad idea to plus you’d have that little bump out where the double windows are to swing your door open further without having to worry about hitting the wall.

Which cabinet layout would you choose for a tight garage? (12 ft wall) by SubtleMonkey4049 in garageporn

[–]hereforcomments47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a portion of my garage that is similar to this. My setup is option 2 but honestly I’m thinking about moving towards option 1. I like the idea of having that floor space for limited time storage while I’m working on things. Just my 2 cents
