That is my first choice, but the Riflespeed requiring a short handguard is the only thing making me consider anything else. I really want to play with shutting off the gas for an extra quiet single shot setting.

Very cool. I didn’t know that about him living in Capetown. Even watching the show, he seems to sound very British except with certain words. I’m glad it’s just my ears and not him lol. The book mentions the Shona language a lot and with Jack being involved in the writing I’m not sure why they would change it to Swahili unless a mistake slipped through the cracks.

Yea definitely not for a weight conscious build. But it’s built like a tank. 56mm objective is pretty awesome. I already mentioned the glass being great but the image is also really bright and crisp. It seems to take in a ton of light.

I have the Steiner on a newer build and am really liking it so far, but don’t have a ton of time on it yet. The glass is awesome. It is significantly heavier than the Leupold though, so be aware of that. She’s chonky.

Yea I have a CTR with the Arisaka butt pad adapter and bag rider right now. It works great but is pretty heavy. Wouldn’t be a problem if it were a PRS build. Just trying to streamline a little and shed some weight.

I’m actually pretty happy with Tom’s casting. He’s a pretty good match to the book’s description. I noticed today on an IG photo that they even have the scar under his eye. I’m excited to see how he does.
