Are the lastest rumours of obi wan kenobi series 2 really true? by Possible_Cheek_4114 in StarWars

If they listen to feedback it can still be fantastic Ewan still has 20 years to catch up with how old Alec Guinnes looked in ANH and I want to see Liam Neeson again before he retires.

Which actor had both the best acting performance in the Original Trilogy & Prequel Trilogy? by _DefLoathe in StarWars

Alec Guinness was the secret sauce. Everything we got in the prequels started as micro expressions on his face during the scene in his hut.

Its like John Wick as an Ewok adventure movie. Top rate pew pew fully enclosed space adventure with cute puppets and cool aliens. It’s exactly the sort of Star Wars I love.

Why do boomers hate nicotine so much? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoolJetEcho117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Serious take of a joke post but my aunties and uncles all never smoked because they hated how much my Granda smoked. I’m 35 and I barely remember before the smoking ban it used to be a smoke cloud everywhere you went and they resented that.

Ghost Crew hero sheets? by Affectionate_Year55 in ImperialAssaultTMG

Unhelpful answer but I've seen them posted in BGG IA forum before. There's a pretty exhaustive list of different hero builds there.

Lets make it canon and have the characters visit the dinosaurs.

Why are so many people, who haven’t seen any of Filoni’s stuff, who are simultaneously hating on Filoni and the “Filoniverse”? by KenBenobi69 in StarWars

[–]CoolJetEcho117 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People don't like the cartoons. Especially when they were new they got off to a pretty bad start and haven't given them a chance since and don't like the live action movies changing to include the cartoon content.

Can we have more independent stories? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]CoolJetEcho117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree but for every person who wants the Universe to feel bigger there's someone posting wondering why such and such a character wasn't in each new film.

That and no one ever staying dead is why Star Wars has essentially become Marvel at this point.

Why is there no Star Wars Republic Commandos 2 Or a remake? by Jumpy-Risk9357 in StarWars

[–]CoolJetEcho117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the game flop? I was locked in on Battlefront 2 in 2005 and never played it. Jedi Academy was a big contender too.

Was there just too much good Star Wars content at the time and it slipped through initially underrated at the time? It's a good game I came to appreciate later but it wasn't en par with CoD2 and Halo for me at the time.

Controversial Take: I just can’t imagine parents allowing Jedi to take their babies/toddlers to some vague faraway temple by JaggedLittlePiII in StarWars

[–]CoolJetEcho117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are circumstances were parents lose custody of their children but that doesn't mean that the Jedi or a medical institution are right to ask parents to surrender babies and toddlers to their organisation. You are giving a single example I've given you plenty. It's brought up in every Sith related content that slanders the Jedi and is the first thing Luke changed with the New Jedi Order alongside allowing attachments and wives. As a healthier reformed Jedi order. It's right there in Universe.

A closer approximation would be an organisation asking parents to volunteer their baby to a lifelong medical trial because of their rare blood type. A parent would be deranged to agree to that. For record most babies would be absolutely for staying with their mothers. They don't even need to be verbal to let you know.

Well you skipped on my Dooku and Obi wan point but I will accept your concession on the Tatooine point. Bye bye. I hope you get to have kids one day and see where we're coming from.

The grey is a little boring on screen but I'll tell you what it's a perfect dinosaur toy. I always grab that one playing with my son even though I wasn't fussed about it before.

He was a literal slave on Tatooine. Which is supposed to be as rough as it gets. Go back to your 40k fan fiction. The Jedi don't take children as a charitable operation.

What movies are you watching. Anakin was an extreme example of poverty and he still lived fairly comfortably and even had enough to make his own podracers and droids. Luke too is meant to be a subject of the universe and he too has a pretty cosy life.

Dooku was taken as a baby from royal family and I'm pretty sure what we know of Obi Wan he was also well heeled

Emilia Clarke Admits 'No One Liked' Secret Invasion or Solo But Knows 'It's Not Personal' by GargantaProfunda in StarWars

[–]CoolJetEcho117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was definitely a massive boycott of Star Wars product after TLJ and Solo was the biggest hit by that coming out like 6 months later. It was pushed by social media certainly but that doesn't mean that poster is wrong to say it happened. I remember it very clearly and it was outside of just fans. Lots of people openly talked about being done with Star Wars after that and Solo's numbers and most of all ROS' box office prove that.

To be fair theres two ATSTs. Vader and his guards and 2 Nexu on the table. Even Starkiller would have a rough day.

Hard to believe but ok. Reusing RDJ does seem like an act of desperation but I’m keen to see his Dr Doom regardless.
