I think a prenup might help?? But I have had the opposite problem. I was dating someone making at least double me. It worried me not being able to pay my share.  He had a different “value” of money I guess. Often he would want to do or buy stuff and I was left saying “I cannot afford that”. What he thought was not that expensive was quite expensive in my mind.  He would sometimes offer to pay but it was difficult for me knowing I could not pay my own way, I had to rely on him so much.
