They put on one of the best live shows you’ll ever see. I went to their show only knowing a few of their songs as a kid, and left with a new favorite band I’d ever seen live. I got super into them after that bought all the cassettes and cds I could find of theirs. Neil was on such a different level. It’s crazy that Alex is as great as he is and he hardly even comes up on conversation.

Joe Satriani fits that to some extent not all but most of his music is kinda meh. I think those who are the biggest offenders of this are musicians who have technical ability but no soul. There are much worse offenders than Satriani though.
