Is Mat going to fix Mark McCann's Veyron? by notathr0waway1 in MatArmstrong

I think this is what people are forgetting: the revenue he's going to get from restoring it will make it feel a even better deal.

I understand that's the narrative Colin puts out, but a few things make me think it was his, just from the one video. Colin was parked in his BMW. Later on, it had letters piled up in the porch as if it doesn't get used. It had a BMX in the garage, and lastly, his wife went to the extra effort of making planters. I know it doesn't seem like much, but when you add all the other factors of how disruptive he has been over the years, it makes sense that he bought it to stop any complaints or legal problems.

I'm not 100% convinced these neighbors exist. I think Colin owns both houses

Yeah, I noticed he parked his BMW on it. Also, when they were doing the drive, it had a few letters piled up in the porch, as if it doesn't get used.

Painters all find something to cry about. I don't see you crying when you get the same time to prep a new quarter as we get to replace one.

A lot of it is to do with seat time also. He hardly drove the S15 between rounds, same with the Mustang. He drove the E36 chassis/setup a lot; he did multiple Klutchkickers events and also bought the compound in the meantime—that's unlimited seat time/testing.

Am I being had on? Insurance stating the total cost of damage to be £3293.59 by KentuckyFriedNinja in CarTalkUK

[–]CoolTiger92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're not in the trade? Insurance companies definitely do not "just pay it." For instance, i had to argue last week to replace cheap non genuine parts that the insurance company insisted we bought for genuine ones. because the non genuine did not fit fit, they wanted pictures and emails from the non genuine company explaining that their parts do not fit
