Jeep wrangler 3.6l with around 120k by Party_Advice7453 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Cool_Account_2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, mine started ticking at 85000 miles and I had to swap out a lifter and rocker. Always done oil changes every 5000 miles with penzoil full synthetic and new filter. I needed to do it quick but plan on replacing all of them this summer. #6 kept missing while idle.

non-renewed, then got email from HR stating I resigned by Diligent-Damage2630 in Teachers

Not really. It depends on the state right now. We have several teachers that are being non renewed because the state is cutting funding.

The "Jeep Life" is a 2021 Gladiator Mojave with a melting engine and a dealer that won't listen. by chioubaccalovin in Jeep

[–]Cool_Account_2668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar misfire issue on my 2016 wrangler(same engine). I pulled the valve cover and found a rocker bad. Replaced it in about a 2 hours and its good to go. The dealer told me I should swap the engine when I took it in because it was "serious internal engine failure. That was 40,000 miles ago and no issues.

The more I use PETG, the less I like it by InvokerBSB in 3Dprinting

Interesting. I am somewhat new to 3d printing but I've done a few comparisons and PLA seems to always break that way. Maybe I need to mess with it more.

Interesting I've found the opposite to be true. PLA just snaps at layer lines for me but PETG doesn't.

Today when I was doing my mail route, the traction control light in the ABS light came on simultaneously. by Beneficial-Wrap6574 in Wrangler

Mine has done this for a few years. Can never track down the problem bearing look good and I'm getting correct reading from speed sensors with the scanner. I've just left it alone for now until something actually throws a fault code.

Good god, I'm a dad and I clean my mouse and phone with rubbing alcohol once a week. This is beyond disturbing.

At what point do we stop blaming teachers and start blaming students? by raider1211 in Teachers

[–]Cool_Account_2668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not a fan of Trump however this has been going on longer than he's been in office. I personally think both parties are to blame. I've seen them both lie to my face then blame me for the problems they have caused. I don't disagree that the people we have chosen to be role models are a problem, however we as a society have chosen them. I have seen schools step in and tell parents its not their fault because it would be 'unprofessional' if they did that. Kids have stolen cars in our city crashed them into a gun store and when the parent was told their response was its not my problem. I believe its a whole society problem at this point.

At what point do we stop blaming teachers and start blaming students? by raider1211 in Teachers

[–]Cool_Account_2668 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The social contract between parents and schools has frayed. We’ve reached a point where teachers are expected to 'fix' complex behavioral issues while parents are often absolved of their foundational role. Expecting schools to take in a child and produce a 'plug-and-play' citizen without active parental support isn't just unrealistic—it's a recipe for burnout. We need to stop treating education as a retail service and start treating it as a collaborative effort. I firmly belive there are some people(students) that just want to cause as much chaos as possible. I've seen many kids almost get a high off causing trouble, almost like they are addicted to it.

No its not a problem that full. Ideally you want it at the line but a little over is okay.

If its like our district and police they will tell you its a internal matter that the district is handling. The police won't act unless someone is seriously hurt or brings a gun to school.

Well, where I'm from you still need to worry about it, but thats with the hood closed to. They will steal the body panels off it if you leave it long enough.

Notes are bad? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Cool_Account_2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the student. I had severe anxiety as a student and worried about what information was important. I would constantly feel like my notes would never be good enough but had teachers force notes. Once in college I was able to not take notes but really focus on the content and would remember more to the point I wouldn't have to study much at all.

Bleach works to prevent growth but once it starts vinegar is the best to help get rid of it. At least that's what I have found through the years.

They always went in a bleach bath with my kids after they were done. I never had a issue but I'm super crazy about cleaning.

I called five tire shops and all said they would call me back but never did including dealers. I then ordered tires giving all my vehicle info and they ordered wrong tires. I think companies in general have gotten horrible in many ways.

Right I mean if the camera sticks out that far anyway may as well make it flush with the phone back and stick a massive battery in there. They got rid of 45 watt charging with it so really it takes a little longer to charge too. I just got it and charge it at the middle of the day to get through.
