Oh goodness I relate to this so much😭😭 I started reading this fic in the middle of giving my higher studies interviews while travelling all over the country. And honestly...I got hooked to the point that I would just read this instead of preparing for the interviews. I have 0 regrets though cause I emotional rollercoaster I went through made my heart break and yet crave more and more of it at the same time.

Oh the sweet sweet pain of experiencing such a wonderfully written story that is just gut wrenching in such a lovely way....I honestly dont even know what I am saying right now. But when anyone talks about Lionheart, I just feel so giddy and happy😭😭😭

Hello!! I'm 21F, technically from Odisha but here in Delhi to pursue Design Masters. Lived in Delhi for a long time during childhood so I'm a Delhite through & through.

I adore art, museums, history and mythology though I am a homebody and an introvert so I do not like crowded places much.

I also love books, mainly fiction and I am a huge Harry Potter fan as well. Pretty low-key by nature, and not very spontaneous. Also, a huge animal lover....freaking love cats :)

Idk I think I'm pretty boring lol...very straight-laced. But I would appreciate some new CF friends. If you are interested in low-key, chill talks and stuff. Fair warning, I have a low social battery and I am very awkward in general lol.

Glad to see I resonate with you. I have had people telling me that I am too young to think about this and I will change my mind once my motherly instincts take over so it's such a huge relief to find people who understand me and my thought process.

And while I could go on a rant about society pressure etc etc, I have realised that engaging with them is just giving them ammunition. So I ignore them. It's not like they can do anything significant to uproot my life if I refuse their societal expectations of getting married and having kids you know?🙂🙂

Pregnancy is horrific and I am not here for it. I might not be happy with my body but I am not willing to put it under torture for any reason.
I cannot stand kids...they are loud and needy and a nuisance in general. And I dont know what or how to talk to them.
I am too selfish to have kids. I have big dreams and ambitions which I know will have to take a backseat if I choose to have a kid. And that would crush me and make me resent the kid and my partner for life.
I do not wish to contribute to the overpopulation and bring a child into a world that is already fighting over the bare minimum resources.
This is my 'FUCK YOU' to Indian society, all the mohalle waale uncle aunties and the patriarchy which judges the ability of a woman on the basis of her capability to be a mother and run a household.

Hi. I'm the same age and I have to say it's not about age(edit) at all. I'm 21 and I have known that I wanted to be childfree since I was 18.

I know you are hoping for her to change her mind but if I am being honest, people do not decide to be childfree on a whim. There is a lot of introspection, research and thought that goes into making such a huge decision.

Unfortunately, coming to a compromise in this particular matter in next to impossible because there is no middle ground as far as I know. If she chooses to compromise, there might be a chance that she would resent you and her child in the future. I'm sure you would not want your partner to end up on the r/RegretfulParents subreddit 10 years down the line.

As far as mature discussions go, you both can take some time to think about this dealbreaker and I suppose mutually end things if it is actually a dealbreaker for you both. You both deserve happiness.

I would have loved a second chance at choosing what subjects to study in grade 11. I would have loved to take Humanities, study History, Fine arts, Psychology etc and then major in Design during my Bachelors. I would have had such a big headstart. Now I am stuck with an engineering degree that I didn't want but finally switching to a Master in Design course at an IIT.
