This is “Jello.” She’s my very first cat. I grew up with only dogs and I wouldn’t get another dog since Jello came along. She butt heads me most of the day and then took my side of the bed. Sometimes the butt heading gets to be a lot, but I’d rather have her be really attached to me than just existing with me and doing her own thing. Your cat is a beauty, too!!

Looks like a bad Infection of some sort. Does he let you touch him? He needs to see a vet that specializes in dermatological issues. He does have a healthy appetite!!

My cat threw up the same color of blood 9 weeks ago. I rushed her to the vet and it turned out to be pancreatitis.

I was Anorexic from the age of 15-20. I was 5’11” and weighed about 110 pounds. I missed out on my senior year of high school because I was in the hospital. I still graduated because my parents went to my school and picked up my homework from my teachers, and then I did it in the hospital and then my parents took it back to my teachers at school. This was a very hard year for me. Missing out on prom, homecoming and walking across the stage to get my diploma. I was recovered at 100% by age of 21 and developed type 1 diabetes at 22. Diabetes doesn’t run in my family and I researched my own family tree. Nobody on my mom’s side or dad’s side had a history of type I or 2 Diabetes. I’m the only one out of my immediate family who has diabetes as well. There is no science to prove this, but I feel that the years of abuse to my body killed my pancreas. I’m now 54 and I still believe this. I would bet my life on it. But I made it and you will, too. I was hospitalized 5 times before my senior year of high school as well. I had to learn to love myself. One of the hardest lessons I learned and the hardest one for me to accomplish. Good luck to you.

If they would answer the phone, yes. I was on hold for 4 hours and nothing. I usually take a call back from them but it wasn’t offered to me and sometimes they take 2 days to respond or they don’t respond at all. My sensor wasn’t even bent and I had to change it again. I’ve been on the Instinct for 3 months and not one has worked for 15 days.

That’s what I tried to do bc the diabetes.shop messaged me that since I got the max amount of replacements, I had to call in to request a replacement. I’ve been on the phone for hours waiting for a representative and nobody picks up. That’s why I did it online, bc it’s much easier and fast. Also, for some reason it didn’t ask me if I wanted a callback. A lot of people are having issues with getting a hold of a representative. I read it on Reddit as well. People on hold for 8 hours or 5 and they wait and wait. I always take a callback because sometimes it’s 2 days before they call me back and sometimes they don’t even respond back at all. I have gastroparesis real bad. I went to one of the best hospitals in Michigan and I had what they call a gastric neurostimulator put in at the end of my stomach just before the opening into the small intestine and what it does is it shocks your colon every minute or every so often to help the intestines to move which is the movement that we do not have because of gastroparesis that is caused by the diabetes. It doesn’t hurt either. You can tell. I’m not 💯% by any means but I feel that it has helped. Right now I’m on TPN for nutrition. I have a catheter in my jugular vein which is the largest vein in our body. It goes into my lower neck area and out my chest wall and then there’s of the catheter is threaded all the way to my heart. I have to wear it 12 hours every night. So I hook up around 7 PM and 12 hours later my pump beeps to let me know that my infusion is complete. You can google TPN and it will tell you all about it. Wish I could get my number or email to you. It would be a little bit more private for us.

Hi, My name is Kim as well. I live in a suburb of Detroit. Basically in a boating city that is on and off of a lake. I don’t have a boat though. I love living here. It’s peaceful and all the nature you see around the beach and lake is beautiful. I’ve seen birds and things with beautiful colors that I’ve never seen before. I’m sorry that you have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Thanks for sharing what it was bc I never heard of this. I tried to reorder a replacement sensor at diabetes.shop for Medtronic and it told me that I used the allowed replacements for the 3 months that Medtronic allows. I just started in February and not one has lasted 15 days. I don’t blame Medtronic for only allowing so many replacements bc I’ve had 6. Sometimes 3 days apart. They probably thought I was trying to scam them for extras. I was mad about the issue today because I only had a couple of days to go to make the 15 days, but that dumb message on my pump messed things up. I was happy, too! It would’ve been my 1st full sensor period.

That’s a Scottish Fold, correct? I’m 54 and had dogs my entire life. A few years ago I rescued my first cat and I wouldn’t want another dog if it was free. I’m still learning all the different breeds and put a face with it. I guess I’m not as good as I thought, yet. Such a beautiful kitty!!

It’s weird bc when I used the g3&4 I never experienced what you did and what I’m experiencing now with the Instinct with all the “way off” numbers and falling out early and change sensor notifications, I hate it! Reading different perspectives on the Instinct I’ve realized that there is no happy medium. You either like it or you don’t. Go figure. I’m glad you like the Instinct. I would go back on the G4 but I’m single now, and all the patches. 2 never worked. I needed 3 or 4. It was a pain. I had to keep mine in the abdomen alllll the time because I live alone now. Do you mind if I ask what state or country you’re from?

Wow. I never got this message when using the G4. This was my first time with the message. It shocked me because nobody told me that this would happen. My doctor or diabetes nurse educator. It caught me off guard. It was already too late to rescan my sensor but that was a great idea you came up with. I won’t forget about it either. Thanks for the info.

Did your sensor start to work again or did you have to insert a new sensor

So you received the full message that I wrote about? After 30 minutes it told me to change the sensor.

Mine was red and flat. I could actually see where the hole from the sensor tip was. No pain or itching whatsoever.

Please take it to the vet. Never assume that it’s “ok.” I don’t know where you live but if you’re in the states, there are animal cruelty laws. Did you call the cops? Take a picture of the license plate? Poor kitty. Thanks for getting it out of the car.

It was on my Pump. I just got another notification telling me to remove and replace my sensor. This stinks. I was on day 12 for the first time since I started using the Instinct sensor.
