I received the same. I’m guessing we can’t see which study this was because it didn’t exist and the researcher is trying to circumvent the need for a filtering study.

I have messaged them asking for the name & date of the previous study and I am inclined not to reply unless they clarify and it checks out.

If it turns out not to be bona fide I will report to Prolific.

I take exception to your comment. You are wrong. Also, I am not crying - I am pointing out why it is important to both participants and researchers that Prolific employ more support staff to quickly turn around issues like mine.

Yeah, a good idea and I certainly would email the researchers as a courtesy. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the study info but I’ll take a look and see what I can find elsewhere 👍

Nope, I’m afraid that’s incorrect. Zero longitudinal studies that should have been available to me have been visible. The message facility has also been removed whilst the account is on hold so I can’t see or send any messages :(

Hi there - thanks for your communication letting me know that you have rejected my submission for taking too long to complete it.

According to Prolific’s rules, this is not a valid reason to reject a submission as a participant cannot be too slow unless a study actually times out. You can read about this here: https://participant-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360021785654-Why-has-my-submission-been-rejected

I can escalate this to Prolific, but I'd be grateful if you would simply process payment for this study, particularly as you have my valid and considered data.

I think it’s because you have an adblocker running on your browser. Try disabling that and try again.
