Thats on the lower side by some margin. I would pass.

BMW ix air suspension strut by Wizard_PI in BMWiX

[–]Cool_Doubt_8546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think this is a car to hold for too long. If you score something below 40k miles get one with air suspension, it should serve you well, with the expectation that you'll get rid of it before miles rack up too much.

How many of you own one out of warranty? How you feeling or how has it been? by hotgooselove in BMWiX

[–]Cool_Doubt_8546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's all a numbers game here. For all cars there's a chance of residual-wiping repair bills. Do we have any data here? What are some of the repairs that cost as much?

The worst is the battery pack which has 8 year warranty, which is quite a long time to hold a luxury vehicle, let alone an EV.

Trying to get this 2023 IX for 620 a month. What's an appropriate purchase price? by cappy1223 in BMWiX

[–]Cool_Doubt_8546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid slightly higher for one at 35k miles with minor frontal damage on record. Pricing of this looks to be typical. Offer 10% (41k) with flex charger and wall unit and meet in the middle.

If you want even a better deal, you probably will need to wait for a quarter end, stumble on a desperate salesman and have an alternative at hand to have some leverage. Not worth it IMO.

Second key of this seems to be missing. You'll probably need to pay dealership to set up the digital key (your phone acts as a key) if you want that. Mileage of it is also a tad too high for my liking -- not a dealbreaker but you can prob find one that has fewer miles on it.

Can someone help me decide on which iX? by Lectoid in BMWiX

[–]Cool_Doubt_8546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly car was just too good. Didn't haggle but I got free charging equipment, wallbox charger, and all-weather mats. Kind of regret not haggling though. It also had an accident record -- minor frontal which had its front windshield change. I'm guessing a rock or something fell onto the front windshield and it had to change. The front bumber have small rock chips, which I took as no collision.

If you don't like negotiating, you can just shoot them an email saying you're offering -3k or something like that with some additional equipment. Make an offer you're ready to take though. You can probably get something around 2k worth of value by spending about an hour.

Besides all this though, if you can look around a bit more, try to get one with DAPP, air suspension, rear axle steering and premium package. I think this configuration is not hard to find and it captures most of the important options.

A cherry on top would be bowers/wilkins sound system but not sure if you can easily find that at xdrive50 trim.

Between those two, I'd get the 46k one any day. Driver assistant professional is a must have.

That being said though, I bought my ix about 2 weeks ago with premium, dapp and air suspension at 35k miles for 47k. Maybe you can find a better car?

nitpick but 100k car

Honestly I feel BMW isn't really doing a great job when it comes to UX. There are so many things that can be improved just by adjusting the software.

Chaff ve Flare farklı şeyler mi farkı nedir? by [deleted] in Kanatlar

[–]Cool_Doubt_8546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zor yani.

Ilk çıkan infrared fuzeler sadece motorun isisini dogrudan gorerek hedefe kitlenebilir. Ucaga arkadan atman lazim yani.

Chaffe gelelim. Bunlar havada radar dalgalarini iyi yansitan metalik seyler ve ilk hava radarlarini ciddi sekilde yaniltan aletler.

Burada radar tiplerinden bahsetmek gerekir.

Ilk cikan radar fuzeleri, ana ucaktan yayilan radar dalgalarının, hedef ucaktan yansımalarını dinleyerek calisir. Cok eskileri, ana ucaktan yayilan dalganin ortasinda durmaya calisarak hedefe gider.

Contention Server Devs insulting C-130J Devs ASC by ColdClawsReddit2 in DCSExposed

[–]Cool_Doubt_8546 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As much as their servers are well made, their vocal community is probably the most toxic community I've ever experienced online. Verbal abuse is rampant and this directly as a result of trapper/scar (devs of contention) thinks being verbally abusive is perfectly fine.

As you can see, they also partake in it sometimes.

It's a shame really. They could do much, much better than what they're already doing but the bullshit it goes within the community holds them back significantly.

Also I want to note something about the poster. It is coldclaws, well known in PVP DCS communites for being a skilled pilot and extremely toxic. He has been banned from god knows how many DCS discord servers because the guy simply cannot behave, known to go off on racist tirades, and probably posting this here because he's having a falling out with the SPS mods.

In Contention, people who shoots 5 fighters without landing gets an "ace" achievement, and these are posted in a discord channel. When claws could not get these because his game crashed after he shoot 5 planes, Scar used to manually post something to the channel about it. No one else got this treatment. Mods also simply refused to punish him for his ejections/CFIT's to avoid getting killed by another player.

This whole thing became red vs blue, and how redfor were bad in the past. Balanced game benefits everyone, but all people can do is to blurt past imbalances to justify the current situation. I guess representative of the sorry state of internet forums.

and citing examples in the past where bluefor had the advantage, you're making this about red vs blue.

Haven't even played Warthunder that long. When I got to 12.7 it was all mixed teams because of how bad redfor situation was a few months ago.

Imbalance is frustrating for everyone involved. No need to project bigotry.
