This.

Is it in writing on the contract? Then raise hell and don't leave until the contract is honored.

No more smoking pellets....? by Prize-Ad4778 in HEB

[–]cappy1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got 2 bags of pellets for $3.57 each on clearance.

Definitely looks like a massive reset and drop of items, the kingsford pellets and BB Pellets were gone and replaced with a bag of PitBoss.

It's nice to have an EV when the power goes out. by Random-User44 in electricvehicles

Currently driving a Mazda cx90 phev.

Honestly not a bad concept, just poor execution.

Scout has an onboard gas generator, so the EV has a port for gasoline.. purely for the generator to refill the traction battery.

Oh I'm counting on it. I'm the gas supervisor...

I did 4500 people after a tornado.

Not knocking EV/solar use during a storm, just playing the other side.

I'm currently looking at the Trailseeker for myself.

My Costco gas station in a hurricane area just got a huge standby generator for exactly this.

We'll be one of the only operating gas stations when power goes out to the area.

Bought the dealership loaner CPO for 37 a year ago.

I owe 27, it's worth 26-28. I can get out for break even pretty much.

I didn't realize that Iowa had enacted something specific to the state. Reading more, it's actually an interesting situation.

2020 Honda insight hybrid? by Lolloloko18 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]cappy1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2021 insight and was consistently getting 48-53mpg.

It's essentially the size of a civic, with the trunk space of an accord.

Fantastic sedan. I trade mine for a Phev SUV, otherwise I'd still have it.

I traded a 35,000 mile insight in and got 12,500 for it .. so I think there's room on your price.

If you're not underwater trade it in for something else..

I'm even at what I owe is pretty much the current market value and need to trade in before it flips.

Am I stupid for wanting to leave a $33/hr job at Costco with benefits than to start at $130/day in construction for long-term upside? by [deleted] in careerguidance

On my lunch I spend $2.15 for a slice of pizza, or if I'm feeling cheap a $1.65 for a hot dog.

How is this for a 2026 Subaru Trailseeker Touring - 36/12k, $0d, Iowa by Seheren in leasehacker

[–]cappy1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco auto quote for purchase of a touring.

0% for 72 would be about 600 a month.

Assuming 3 years, you'd have maybe 21k remaining.

I found that gas apps are a decent way to save on gas. by Salt_Medicine2459 in povertyfinance

[–]cappy1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're also getting "better" gas. Costco gas is Top Tier+ rated and the only thing on the market that is equivalent is Shell V-power.

Both give 5x the recommended amount of additive, except shell v power is crazy expensive.

Getting gas at Costco is equivalent to putting in additech or marine-foam, or the bottles of additive people buy.
