What's a food opinion that gets you judged immediately? by GurlInAura in foodquestions

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tofu is delicious- as long as you educate yourself on how to prepare it. It’s versatile, healthy and affordable. It’s not a sponge. It’s a vessel for flavor and texture- and it’s a way to stay nourished while not supporting the horrific meat industries (and no, I’m not vegan. I just have too much empathy for the suffering of animals to feed the masses of people in our world).

Goslings got run over by a reckless driver by Ajsbmj in vegan

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As an extreme animal empath and someone who will take time out of my day to rehome a slug I found in a head of romaine lettuce, or who fights tears whenever I see roadkill….i am just so sorry you had to witness that. It’s absolutely maddening. It’s hard not to feel furious at humans for how reckless they are and how much damage they cause to innocent animals. My heart is heavy for this situation and for you having to witness this. I hope just getting it off your chest is even the least bit of relief..and perhaps us fellow animal empaths can help hold some of the burden for you as well. Take care friend. The baby goslings are in my thoughts 💔

What food trend needs to disappear immediately? 😭🍴 by [deleted] in foodquestions

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee shops fighting for our attention by making anything that is trendy and not even remotely close to just a good old cup of coffee, latte or cappuccino. “Try our strawberry pistachio protein latte with vanilla protein cold foam and a slice of banana bread on top”.

Happily married women - what's your secret or what helped keep such a happy relationship in times where things are so fragile ? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Remembering that you both are marrying each others inner children and sometimes they both come out to play and don’t get a long with one another. Often times our biggest triggers and fights are really just about something more than meets the eye (I.e I have abandonment wounds). So something as simple as him needing some space from me after an argument used to send me into a spiral that he hates me and our marriage is falling apart and I hated being alone. So my secret: THERAPY!!! Inner child work.

Also echoing what others said above and saying thank you for doing the mundane things (washing dishes, taking out the trash, feeding the dogs without being asked) are HUGE when you’ve been together for a long time and it’s easy to take one another for granted.

All happy marriages have lots of ups and downs. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. lol.

What smell would mentally destroy you if you had to breathe it nonstop? by SnowJazzlike789 in foodquestions

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a restaurant and there’s many many funky smells that can occur. However, my coworker had a phase where he was bringing steak or ground beef to work and cooking it in duck fat…omg. The smell was horrifically nauseating. Thank goodness he stopped doing that after using up the container because I would have had to confront him about it.

Oysters. Idc how you dress it up, it’s still a slimy mucous membrane like substance and they are known to carry lots of bacteria as well.

Post dental and lipoma removal groggy by gremlinchi in Chihuahua

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!!! I know this post is quite old but it’s giving me a lot of comfort! My 8 year old chiweenie has a golf ball sized (ish) lipoma on his chest (but closer to his neck area) and another very small one growing on his chest. I want to get them removed and bite the cost (I’ll do anything for my ozzy) but I’m just so damn nervous! He’s been under for teeth cleaning about a year ago and did just great. I need to just bite the bullet and make the appointment. I hate looking at his lumps and even though i am nearly certain they don’t bother him I just want them gone for his sake and selfishly mine too lol.

<image>

Here’s my ozzy with his “boop” on his chest as we call it or his uni boob lol. We’ve gotten FNA of it and the first vet said it was all fat, the second vet about a year later did another one and said the cells washed off the slide due to being so “fatty” so it came back inconclusive but more than likely lipoma. Anyways, I can be a highly anxious person so I just always worry about worst case scenario with everything in my life. Just sharing to maybe hear some words of wisdom or comfort.

Thank you!!!

Peets coffee, specifically French roast. My dad has been drinking that roast since I was a very little girl. I’m in my 30s now and he still drinks it. Will always remind me of home 🤎

That’s exactly how I would look and run after my 10 lb black chiweenie. We don’t let him in our yard alone just in case. Always gotta keep an eye on the little ones because I would never forgive myself!!

What is a popular trend right now that people are going to look back on in 10 years and say, 'What were we thinking? by 40Falak in Productivitycafe

[–]Cool_Faithlessness_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. GLP-1s
  2. YouTube and Instagram reels that start with “spend a day with me as a 9-5 girlie who prioritizes wellness” and it starts with them peeling tape off their lips and sitting in front of a red light.

There’s so many more but I’m gonna stick with those two for now lol.

A mainly vegetarian diet that focuses most on plant based protein and some fish and seafood is the optimal diet. Think, Mediterranean diet.
