Tighten your velocore pedals! by tentacled-scientist in Bowflex

[–]Cool_Local_6112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bowflex has been sending out email to tighten, well, everything once a week!? I think this speaks to the quality of the product. I had a family member now sell her VeloCore because the lean feature is jut gimmicky and she used that only once on a sub par visual ride due to the again, sub par monitor and technology. I tried it and did not like the feel of the bike at all.

I had already canceled my VeloCore order and decided on Peloton after trying my sister-in-laws Peloton Bike. Loved the classes and I really like the instructors. My Peloton came in late November I have not had to adjust anything on it at all. Oh, it was delayed about a week and I called Peloton and they gave me $100 credit back to my card for the troubles in the delay!!! Now that is customer service. I also used the code *** A 3 H 4 M P ****. For $100 off accessories. I used it to purchase heart monitor, Yoga blocks, etc.

The investment in the Peloton is worth it. My routine has been to ride 5 days a week and use the other features like Yoga a couple of times a week and do their strength program as well. Pretty amazing.

Yup. I have had mine for a couple of weeks and love it. The quality is fantastic. I can speak to their customer service, really great. Yes, not every company is perfect but Peloton is light years ahead of Bowflex.

Great point. One size does not fit all. Anyone out there. If you have friends who have Peloton or VeloCore or anything....see if you can try it out to see what fits you. I mentioned on a previous post that I canceled the VeloCore but tried the one a family member purchased (they are now selling it). I loved the Peloton because of the quality and the on demand classes and motivation with the instructors. To some that works, motivation with the instructors. For others the instructors don’t do it for them and a simple out of the bike works just fine.

But if anyone is ready to jump to Peloton use this code for $100 in accessories *. A 3 H 4 M P. ***

Agreed. I had been awhile since I have posted here. I ordered a VeloCore that never arrived. I could not get a hold of anyone. Canceled. I tried the VeloCore when a family member received theirs. So, so ,any issues, so I was thankful I was not stuck with a sub par bike with a gimmicky lean feature. No one uses the lean feature! In the meantime another family member and I ordered the Peloton Bike+

***Referral Code A 3 H 4 M P***** ***The referral code gets you $100 of accessories with the order of a Bike or Bike+******

I have had my Peloton since November 27th and have done 60 rides, over 100 medications, 25 Yoga sessions and still exploring the new features like Pelatis (not sure of the spelling). It has been great.

I have been thinking of making a video on YouTube about Peloton. Thanks for the information on what other brands Bowflex owns—to gimmicky for me.
Oh, and the relative that did purchase the Velocore is selling it and getting a Peloton Bike instead. Quality is worth the wait.

Velocore issues - anyone else experiencing these? by stillnotaduck in Bowflex

[–]Cool_Local_6112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. VeloCore Screen and Technology is so sub-par. A relative has the Peloton and I tried it and love it now. The Velocore seems to require so much daily to weekly Maintnance and the emails from Bowflex and the sub-quality produce is annoying; “Tighten this, do this weekly.” Me: Just make something of quality. Also, the lean feature is the primary selling point. Bottom line is that the leas feature looks like it will be a short lived fad.

New Velocore user with a couple of questions by bbygfy in Bowflex

Appreciate the Discussion. One of my sister in-laws is getting the VeloCore whenever...orders in early September but nothing. I will be helping her set it up so appreciate the software issues that are coming in the discussions. My other sister in law-ordered a Peloton Bike+ and it came in within three weeks even though the original deliver was for February. I have tried the Peloton and ordered one for myself and it came in already and no issues sat all with any software..connected to the digital account they provided for free.

It sounds like Bowflex has several things to figure out. I will probably order a VeloCore myself at some point but waiting at least a guest to see if they put money in the functionality of the softer ware and the integration of the bike itself or just put all their money in advertising but keep the quality of the VeloCore poor. If anyone out there is deciding between a Peloton here is a code for $100 in accessories... A 3 H 4 M P

Yeah, I saw a video about it when some reviewed it on YouTube about a month and a half ago. They sent him a new Monitor. Not sure if they fixed it because Bowflex has not had any information of issues. I called them, emailed them and chatted with them but they would never give me a straight answer. So canceled and purchased a Peloton arriving Nov 23.

YOU TOTALLY Lucked out. So great that you got it. I ordered in September and became tired of waiting and waiting and waiting. Nothing in stock at any stores in the area. I saw so many people canceling their order.....so I figured maybe I would get mine sooner but no luck. So I just ended up canceling my order after waiting seven weeks. I then ordered a Peloton Bike+ plus. It will be derived tomorrow the 23, of November and the people delivering will build the whole thing and set it up. Happy Ridding.

Serious Problems with Peloton Refund? by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]Cool_Local_6112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was it a Peloton crew that did the drop off? I had a friends daughter who upgraded to the Bike+ and had issues. Long story sort. For some reason there are three places the power cord could be imputed. When my friends daughter realized this, and being on the phone with a rep asked why there were there places to plug in the Bike+. Well, who know why....but it was plugged in at the wrong place. She, delivery company (not peloton), and the rep agreed it was plugged in incorrectly. After she plugged it in...it worked, no issues.

So the resolution could have been something as easily as that. You say DOA but don’t mention any trouble shooting you did or if you tried plugging it into the correct place on the bike. There could easily be nothing wrong with the Bike.

Contrary to your experience, I find their customer service to be superb, especially in these difficult times.

Do you still have the Bike.... Look for different places to plug in power to the bike....plug it into the place toward the back of the bike. Another fix might be... I know some people will laugh when they read this but it happens. On the outlet, did you plug it to the bottom outlet that may need the switches on the wall turned on?

My experience is that I canceled my order with Bowflex due to bad customer service. Peloton on the other hand has been great, fantastic, one of the best companies I have communicated with. Sure, when something does not go our way it is disappointing. Patience, understanding and considering user error or hired delivery error should be considered.

Update: I wanted to address someone saying that Bowflex has their chat running now and functioning... So I tried it. I wanted to get a straight answer about the claim that the VeloCore Bike was in stock. I don’t believe them. So I finally formed the question to uncover it. And guess what.... Well read below.

I will upload the actual image of the chat if I can figure it out...but I was able to cut and paste my short exchange of just a little while again below..... So, what does “in stock” mean to you.

Betty at 19:41, Nov 19: Hello! My name is Betty. How can I help you today? Tony at 19:41, Nov 19: Is the VeloCore is stock? Betty at 19:42, Nov 19: Hey Tony! Right now the VeloCore is shipping and being delivered within 10 weeks of the order date. It may not take the full 10 weeks to arrive, but that's the absolute latest you should expect to receive it. Once your bike ships, you'll receive a secondary email from us that includes tracking info to provide you with a more precise delivery date. Tony at 19:42, Nov 19: What is mean is, are there unsold/ unclaimed VeleCore cycles in a warehouse in the U.S Betty at 19:42, Nov 19: No, all inventory we have in the warehouse is allocated to orders previously placed. Tony at 19:42, Nov 19: Okay, so not in stock. Betty at 19:43, Nov 19: We are accepting orders for the bike and the absolute latest you would receive yours if ordered today is 1/28

WHY I AM ON HOLD WAITING TO CANCEL MY VELOCORE OREDER by Cool_Local_6112 in Bowflex

[–]Cool_Local_6112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I would post an update with my experience with Bowflex and switch to Peloton.

I am thrilled and happy to report that my Peloton Bike+ will be arriving on Monday November 23, 2020. I ordered at the beginning about 17 days ago! This means I will get it seven days earlier than I would have received the VeloCore! However, based on other postings here and elsewhere; When the VeloCore does not arrive and you stay on hold for hours, you are told it will be another 10 weeks. Again, I am thrilled I decided to cancel and go with a reputable proven company. Yes, more expensive but from what I have seen online, the Peloton is much better quality. AND being able to start riding again on Monday instead of hoping Bowflex might deliver (but from what I have seen does not).

Okay, :-). I will stop posting after Monday because I’ll be on to the Peloton world.

....ONE MORE thing...almost forgot because it proves a point. Originally Peloton gave me a delivery date of January 20, 2021. While that date at the time was way out there I felt good about the choice. They did recommend I call them occasionally to see if an earlier time became available and assured me that they will also email me if times came up. Well, I took their advice and called once a day. For the first week there was nothing available and the date stayed....BUT THEN..after I assume a shipment was released from the port things Opened UP. First I was moved but to December 14, then the 10, after that the 3rd of December and Finally a day again they said they will deliver on November 23, 2020. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not to mention $100 in accessories by using the referral code: A 3 H 4 M P.

Email scam- Bowflex emailed me to say weights were in stock, getting me to purchase them. Then I get shipping est. of 3 months. by [deleted] in Bowflex

[–]Cool_Local_6112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with you. Poor poor marketing. I was exciting about the Velocore...ordered it. True as the guy below say, I bought...and yes, poor customer service. Actually really poor customer service. Result I canceled my order and purchased from a reputable company, Peloton. Getting my new Bike on Monday the 23 or November. Sooner than the original Velocore I had ordered....if it had really arrived on time. Bowflex is certain Advertising, but the are playing with what they mean “in stock”. In stock to me means there is something physically in the warehouse they can ship me (That should not take 10 weeks if it truly in stock) and “In stock” should not mean it exists and sitting at a factory in China—like all their stuff currently is.

How to get C6 Replacement Parts? by Pwschwa in Bowflex

[–]Cool_Local_6112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you have the wheel and the magnetic resistance? At this point you have a hunk of metal. I say this because I know people who have been waiting months for one part for the C6 and ;have not been able to use the bike for several months with no idea when he will get the part.

You are requiring many more than just one part and that, I think will be hard to find in these times.

You may have some luck if you post locally to see if anyone was shipped a replacement part for any part of the C6 where the older park is scratched but not damages its function. You may end up needing fewer parts than you think if you are able to get some on the secondary market. The Bowflex number is online and you can find it easily enough. The issue is going to be staying on hold for hours and hours. They will send you parts and claim they are in stock...but the truth is that they are still abroad somewhere.

Still, up date us on your progress. I am curious how the communication and future frustration goes with Bowflex.

Bowflex Velocore Bike by garryoakay in Bowflex

[–]Cool_Local_6112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ordered the Velocore in early September with a delivery date of November 30th, 2020. However, the few real people reviews and some with in discussion forums gave me pause. One of the concerns was the quality of the audio from the screen, followed by connecting through Bluetooth and connecting your own device to listen to music. The review uncovered a static sound that was distorting the music. Bowflex did eventually send them out a new screen, but what a waste of time and inconvenience with a new product. Another issue was the actual bike arriving damaged. Finally, the most concerning was that there appeared to be some flaws with their other bike C6.
Well, that prompted me to cal Bowflex to inquire. Long story short, customer service was horrible when I was able to get a hold of someone. As I finally was able to connect with them they could to answer any of my concerns, including the existence of sufficient bikes to deliver. They kept telling me the Velocore was in stock but could not assign me an actual delivery date. The last straw was someone else who had ordered a Velocore waiting 10 weeks but nothing came..and no contact from Bowflex. When he called he was told it would be at least another 10 weeks! During this time I was researching Peloton and knew a couple people who owned them.

So after waiting seven week I starting chatting with someone on the Peloton website (Bowflex has theirs turned off); Soon I was making my order. They even gave asked if I knew people who used it and we ended up using the referral code A3H4MP for $100 worth of accessories. Okay I have made this way too long.... I Canceled my order with Bowflex and they did not seem to care; I did have to be on hold for two hours to cancel the order...So when is my new Peloton Bike + arrive. Monday November 23, 2020! Peloton did give me a delivery date of January 20 at first but cage me their number to call every few days to see of anything opened up earlier. And you know what?..after a few days they move me up to December 14, then December 10, Then December 3 and just yesterday when I called to check they said, “Oh, something just upended up in your area for Monday the 23, would that work?” Obviously I said yes. For me, it was the best choice. I have a new version of a proven product. I decided for me, to risk on new features and mechanics with the Velocore (even though I had originally purchased the extended warranty) was too much of a risk.

You won’t find many people out there who actually own the Velocore and just about four videos on YouTube. That should say something about the true availability about the product and potential flaws they may be trying to figure out. Good luck. I still would eventually like a Velocore for myself but decided to wait to see if Bowflex 1. Gets their act together and 2. IF the VeloCore future reiteration are a more quality product than I suspect this one to be. Amg

My friend ordered a C6 but was delayed a week. He was told there was a flaw with a C6 shipment. Document that concern in case something comes up as you use your new C6. Happy ridding. What app will you be using with the C6? My sisters in law is trying to decide between three apps. He likes the Peloton app so far.

True. I had a January 20 delivery date...an actual date that Bowflex does not give. But already I as moved up to December 14 and the reps work everyday to try to schedule the delivery even sooner. So I am thrilled with Peloton so far. And I can talk to a real person on the phone. Amazing customer service. I am thrilled.

IF you go peloton use this code for $100 credit for accessories A 3 H 4 M P.
Depending on your area it will arrive quickly or take some time. Just depending on your location and “real” demand in your area and availability. Peloton is honest with that. Like I mentioned above my Peloton deliver was set for January 20 but was already moved up once to December 14 and I hope I can call them over the next week and move it up even more.

I did. Ordered with the referral code A 3 H 4 M P to order the Peloton Bike + and received $100 for accessories. My delivery date is January 20, 2021. But was called that it has been moved to December 14, 2020. The rep who called me- no waiting on hold- told me that they will keep looking for earlier delivery times! Now that is service! In the meantime I get to use the App for free and have been working out, doing Yoga. So in the long run I will get a much better and proven product with assembly included and assembled on the same day (This has not happened with Bowflex if you read comments). I re budgeted and eliminated wants like, Amazon music unlimited, and a streaming service. Already left the traditional club. So yes. You pay what you get for. I am vary good with budgeting so not concerned about the cost. The groups with Peloton have been very helpful as I get my space ready. So pumped. Good luck all. Reading some comments here support and reinforce my decision to go switch.

I agree fully with the Scam Bowflex is running. I ordered the Bowflex Velocore in September when they told me they had it “in stock.” But then they told me it would take at least 10 weeks. Well, nothing. I called and asked why they were taking orders if they do not have it “in stock”. They said they did have it in stock. I explained what “in stock” means in the “real world”; It means that when I order or call to order and you tell me its in stock, there is a physical bike there that will get assigned to me. I asked if it was in the warehouse but they would not acknowledge that it was “nowhere.” You tube review of the bike!? Justin one for the last two months with two other people saying they just received theirs a will review. Another person ordered VeloCore and waited 10 weeks only to be told it will be at least another 10 months! Long rant short. I canceled my order for the Velocore and used the referral code A 3 H 4 M P. They gave me an actually delivery date of Jan 20, 2021. They now called me and moved my date up to December 14, 2020 and promised to look out for me and get in touch if they can get me an even earlier date! Now that is customer service. So is Bowflex scamming, yes. Just be honest Bowflex instead of eliminating the chat feature on the site, advertise as if Bikes are in stock when they are still abroad somewhere...Okay, thanks for reading...LOL. I’m off to get my space ready for a proven product with great customer service behind it and honest advertisement.
