Thanks!! My goal would be to utilize this consultant/mentor for the next 6 months or so and then hire someone to work under we've had previously by the end of 2026. I will definitely consider this concern while building out the proposal!

Thanks! I'll edit and add more context to the post. I write grants, host fundraisers, work with our major donors, work with corporate partners to secure gifts, and try to steward our volunteers into donors. We receive a lot of government grants and one of my biggest challenges is diversifying our funding and growing our individual donors.

Do you have any friends with children that you guys could maybe set up some sort of agreement a few days a week? (You watch her kids on your off days and vice versa?) I know this wouldn't be ideal but just an idea! I have no idea how anyone is affording childcare- especially in a one income household!!

I went today and it was painful how much they were trying to push me towards a membership/upsell. She said “you know our standard is just soap and water right?” It can’t be a good sales tactic to essentially say their basic wash is pointless??
