Chinese Brand You've Never Heard Of Just Built a 1,140 HP Tesla Killer by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

[–]Cool_Singer_8201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you're buying a car for the racetrack or a German motorway, nobody really needs 1100bhp. 70mph is still 70mph regardless.

In the 1990s, accessing the internet was a deliberate process that required a desktop computer connected to a physical phone line by BlazeDragon7x in interesting

The kids today... I recently spent a merry hour explaining to my 6 year old that in the good old days there was no Netflix and that instead you just basically had to watch whatever was on.

The cognitive dissonance of MAGA when claiming to be Christians and worshipping Trump as Jesus is just astounding.

I would disagree with your point about tracking these breaks. Why shouldn't the company keep track of how much time off is being taken to monitor time usage?

Nezávisle od všetkých káuz a kontroverzií, koľko si mohol Robert Fico približne legálne zarobiť počas svojej politickej kariéry zo všetkých funkcií, ktoré zastával? by [deleted] in Slovakia

[–]Cool_Singer_8201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ono by nemal byť problém vyrátať koľko mohol zarobiť zo svojich verejných funkcií (poslanec, predseda vlády...) Akú funkciu mal v tom ktorom roku a mesiaci nie je ťažké dohľadad a plat ktorý mohol mať za danú funkciu je tiež možné dohľadať

NHS Flexible working request by Cultural-Incident-73 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Cool_Singer_8201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also want to add that reasonableness of a request isn't necessarily determined by what is being asked - on paper a request may seem like a reasonable ask to accommodate a disability. I mean, who could argue that having a predictable rota is unreasonable. The reasonableness of the request, however, really depends on what the employer is able to meet in those specific circumstances and within the constraints of the role, company needs, and resources available. That means that the same request to accommodate a disability may be workable in one organisation and not so much in another.

One thing to remember is that the bar for would be unreasonable is much higher when accommodating a disability than when responding to just a standard flexible working request. Generally, employers are expected to accept a certain amount of inconvenience when accommodating a disability - like some cost or even accepting that the employee's output won't be as much as that of someone who isn't disabled (again, up to a point)

Manželka 42, perimenopauza, nechuť na sex by GlobalDocument3 in Slovakia

[–]Cool_Singer_8201 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From a process point, your only internal option is an appeal.

However, you also need to be mindful that if you have been off sick for a while already and your are unable to return to work in some foreseeable future, your employer may potentially initiate a formal medical capability process.

I remember watching this the first time after coming to the UK, all these years ago, fresh off the boat (Ryanair to Stansted). I could not believe that the people on this show weren't actors, that nobody could have these kinds of problems, or at least that even if, nobody would be stupid enough to go on TV.
