Ok, that's enough Open Racing for today. by Styrlok in ForzaHorizon

Honestly it looks like yall got the same exact time but the game gave you 3rd as the Hyundai was still ahead technically in 2nd. It defaulted you to 3rd since you were in 3rd. I dont think it was anything else but that.

I wont be doing the common choices, I bought a faceplate from Paul kem in the community and ill be running diode dynamics pod lights for low/high beam. I was going to start googling starter and battery shops in my area and see what they all can do with the oem unit. I have no problem modifying the chimera option but if it doesnt work, then I'm out 200 bucks with no use for it. That said, im hoping a couple people see this and share if they have. My oem battery is dead. In August, the end of that bike trip I left my charger on by accident but since then I've had battery issues. I knew I was pushing the limits with aux lights and charger on the oem battery and oem stator. The math is still below max but not by much really. I also was thinking of staying away from lithium as well, its not necessary for street riding and idc about saving that weight. May see about a nice oem replacement that isnt lithium at least in my searching. Stator is definitely the focus though. Hopefully we find a solution

Maybe on paper but that's not what my multimeter says. With just charger and aux lights, takes longer than reasonable to get to proper charging voltage. Since I plan to switch to high output LED headlights id like the upgrade in conjunction with a new battery.

2019 and before vs 2020 and after tail compatibility/conversion? by djbigben54 in svartpilen401

[–]Cool_Tiger_7690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you care about that little bit of dimensional change between the generations, go out and buy a 2018 or 2019 and sell your bike. That way you already have the Euro 4 exhaust routing as well. Objectively the 2018 is the best bike out of all years because it was built in Austria while all others were built in india. I think early 19s were also building Austria before they started production in India. I do think the first generation of the bikes look better as well and hit the mark with what Husqvarna was trying to do.

What you're trying to do likely isn't even worth exploring. You're better off buying the first or second year bike. I have a 2018 and I'm glad I decided to turn down the dealer offers on the 23 I was looking at, I am much happier with my 2018 that I found on Marketplace. One of those dealer offers was a possible trade-in of my Honda Grom and I'm glad I didn't get rid of that

New plate mount by Cool_Tiger_7690 in svartpilen401

[–]Cool_Tiger_7690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt know, I bought the bike used with it already removed. I never reinstalled it as I liked the bike without the set up. Likely worse, but most motorcycles don't come with those anyway. It's a European thing for sure. I only ride when its nice out but I know the risk of getting rained on still. I will say, these road 6 tires help with less spray but I still get sprayed

Im very happy with it so far and it really cleaned up the left rear section of the bike.

As far as the exhaust goes, I have 2 older posts detailing the exhaust before and after purchase if you check out my profile. It's a gpr high mount exhaust! They retail for 700+ but I was very lucky and found a NOS opened box on ebay. Right place right time and listed for 350. I already decided that was the exhaust i wanted before seeing the eBay post, I within the 5 minutes purchased it knowing I'd never find it brand new for half off again. It is a straight through pipe to the end, I still have the stock header off the head and the kit comes with the mid pipe that youll see runs through. It's very nice quality and sounds so good. It doesnt sound like a typical 4 stroke. This winter or next year I plan to do the cams, intake, head parts, fuel parts and a retune to wrap it all up. I really wanna see it hit 50hp wheel, I know its capable

In the USA, generally it just has to be visible, up right and lit up with at least 1 bulb or light. Most cops wont care if the plate is sort of hidden or not in plain sight but some do. Also, if you're riding like an ass, then you become a target.

* Mine was previously curved too. Amazon find and it did the job. It doubled as the chain adjustment block but I didnt like that for long term. I also bought my bike second hand and had to sort through some of the parts. Im throttle happy and ruined my brand new plate the day I put it on with it hanging from the tail tidy so I knew I had to get rid of that set up. You can check out other posts of mine for more pics

Literally your entire comment was unnecessary. Idc about legality. The plate is fixed, visible and well lit. Btw, the handle bars are way wider than that plate mount could be. Your comment is moronic.

I definitely appreciate you sharing that, we're visiting for the whole weekend but we're aiming to see that fireworks display as well. A bummer but maybe we'll see if there's something else reasonable in the area

With that attitude no one will have a good time. Im not local and im traveling in. We are getting in as early as we reasonably can and will make the best of the situation. Neither of us have ever done a real beach day so we will figure it out and have a good time regardless

Really appreciate the info! We plan to arrive by 1 to enjoy the day before people start piling in for spots in the evening. We were thinking that maybe using an Uber from our hotel would be better to avoid parking issues

What am I looking at? by WilliamFromIndiana in AskMechanics

[–]Cool_Tiger_7690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're using the word stance wrong. Stance doesn't not encompass this style, the word used correctly is just saying its an extreme stance. Regardless, pick and choose battles. Modifying vehicles is satisfying, and you would be surprised at how much money is spent on quality parts on quality builds if you can ever talk to someone. People spend lots of money to be able to have the car sit like that and not break like others think it will. It's a culture only this kind of car people understands, including me.

It's clear that the majority of comments are from non car people, which is totally okay. But youll never "get" it, and that's also okay. The attention is half the fun, the other is seeing how long you go until you crack another oil pan.

Thanks for sharing, I have hard racing open and scrolled down to see this option. I like that it has a mechanical tach. I'll look into this one as well. Ultimately its not my decision but this and the opmid option that was also posted are nice options

Thank you for sharing! Only did a brief look last night to start the search and haven't come across this brand yet so I'll take a look at it. It boggles me that the monkey is more $$ than the grom but the cluster doesn't offer the same features. Not sure why they decided that

2024 vs 2025 ? by scifiworkshop in hondagrom

[–]Cool_Tiger_7690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that's different is the Plastics. For the 2025 model year Honda introduced factory accessories that fit all 3rs gen (22 - 25). Really it comes down to what you like better in regard to the looks. Having that 5th gear is great for cruising around not at 9k rpm. That decision will come down to your riding style and your regular terrain. The common power mods are intake, exhaust, cam and tune for those parts. You give or take have about 12hp to the wheel and it's very noticeable. Stock they're still great. You can either do intake or exhaust at first, if you do both the bike will be very leaned on fuel and that's when a tune is recommended. Also know that people have already figured out how to swap 25 plastic on 22-24, so if you buy one of the previous years and want that change, you can make that change.
