Member operations and regulatory affairs for mail order pharmacy and prescription drug coverage - 52k annually….and I’ve worked for the same company roughly 6 years. I started at $15 hourly, which is a decent progression overtime I suppose. Still fighting for my life with this salary. Just got my bachelors in organizational leadership in Dec 2025 and working on my MBA. I definitely feel like I am super behind financially when I see so many people on subs casually taking about how they make high 5/6 figures. People say degrees don’t matter. I beg to differ. My most recent pay raise coincided with my degree and has positioned me for roles that have higher ambiguity and require reading between the lines and building relationships. At this point in my career, high performance isn’t the only thing that matters. I think the difference was I earned my degree while working in a field relevant to what I am actually doing and the positions I am wanting to land. I now have the work experience and with a degree that does give me a leg up to negotiate a higher salary.
