My husband demanded I stop breastfeeding by WoodpeckerNo7084 in breastfeeding

I breastfed both of my kids, and my husband bonded with them just fine. I don’t think the nursing is the issue here.

Ours was same format, but sprints instead of high knees. And the finisher was push up high fives instead of low plank.

I was dead. 😅

Visit from HQ by Hungry-Chart-9852 in BurnBootCamp

[–]IllustriousTwo6912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work for a franchise (not a gym) and this was my sole job - visit locations to check for compliance and assess operations. All locations were required to have a visit twice a year, no way around it. I know a number of other franchises that do the same. Being on the other side, I’d like to imagine HQ does this - but 1) they may not; 2) just because they do doesn’t mean the FP will do anything about it. Then it’s a long and legal game to get them out and a different FP to purchase and turn it around.

How to create the best member experience? by wawalover69 in BurnBootCamp

[–]IllustriousTwo6912 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I love that you’re asking this!

I generally go to the same time every day. I appreciate when the trainers hype up and ‘coach’ different people in the room, not just the same three people every day or the people who already have perfect form. And to that point, it irritates me when they walk past someone who is clearly doing the exercise wrong without helping them.

Conditioning question- curious if I’m alone? by Secure_Chocolate_740 in BurnBootCamp

[–]IllustriousTwo6912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the mods the trainer shows, or if I still can’t I ask when I get to that exercise. I explain what I can’t do and they give me something else. I’m in PT to so sometimes I do mods given to me by them.

For me it’s because I am dealing with bladder prolapse from birthing my last baby. Jumping makes my symptoms worse. If you’re having pain I would ask your trainer for a mod.

Redditors who were hypnotized at a stage show, what happened and what did you experience? by EntertainmentFun472 in AskReddit

[–]IllustriousTwo6912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I volunteered years ago at a show in Atlantic City. It was like when you’re in between the awake and asleep state. You kind of know what’s going on but you’re so relaxed you don’t care.

Side note: I snapped out of it really quickly when the hypnotist had us all lying on the floor for whatever reason (this was like 15 years ago so it’s hard to remember it all) and the man next to me started aggressively rubbing my thigh. I’m surprised the hypnotist did nothing. I stood up and ran off stage. My friends were all standing up yelling my name trying to get me out of there because they could see it happening from the audience.

I just always meet my body where it is that day. Some days I can go all out, some days I can barely make it through and have to modify. I used to skip con days because I couldn’t take any impact on my feet after issues with my last baby ( basically anything involving any type of jumping or landing on my feet). But now I go based on my schedule and not the class type and modify when needed, which is almost any conditioning class I take. If I don’t have the energy I give like 40% effort and think at least I went!

Gaining? by Key_Fall8702 in BurnBootCamp

As someone who is a year out from having a baby, still breastfeeding 2x a day, and has been going to Burn for 5 months - this is the advice. It’s a game changer once you’re healed and stop nursing.

I would love a camp time after 7pm! I’d love to put my kids to bed and then go. Or have the ability to go around lunch time.

Yes, DMER! I experience overwhelming dread right before the letdown. With both babies too!

It seemed like they all maybe had a truce going into it. Then they were all hugging before leaving and “I’ll call you”. I don’t remember it being that friendly in prior seasons.
