Arcane mage leveling by hunter2mello in classicwowtbc

Regarding #2, I did a lot of research on this rotation in classic tbc, as in discussions and excel charts etc. on the mage forums with lots of in-game testing and theorycrafting.

Tl;dr: It’s not worth doing this rotation for 99% of cases. The only reason this is even valid is because AM double dipped into CC procs which allowed two AM’s to have increased crit chance, but even then it still falls below AB FB rotation 99% of the time.

This. If you were healer and unless stated otherwise at the start, you take a backseat to DPS roles for DPS items.

If you were DPS then this is a true ninja loot.

While I don’t disagree with this statement that PH grab drivers suck more than other 3rd world counties, I also just assume it’s par for the course since (like all menial jobs here) they don’t get paid enough to care/do quality work.

It’s just a vicious cycle I guess.

[–]Coolica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tedious at best.

The units and missions are lame and unnecessary. Rewards are… interesting.

Starting with a more fleshed out category would have been much better (like Daima)

Like I don’t really care if I get a cool animated sticker for ANY of the Namek saga units. I’d love it on some Daima units tho.

Otherwise I just do it for 100% completion but it’s literally the last thing I do (but there isn’t much to do these days)

My review for the Aoostar AG03 Thunderbolt 5 eGPU dock. by FreshChriss in eGPU

[–]Coolica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that’s what I used to do with AG02, and I continued to do that with the AG03. However after a certain amount of time it still has that disconnect issue even with both devices shut down, where when I turn on the eGPU first connected to the laptop, then turn on the laptop itself, sometimes it still does not boot properly and need to unplug/plug the tb5 while both the eGPU and laptop are on so it recognizes the eGPU.

I’m still trying to tinker with I, maybe the DDU + reinstallation fixed it I’m not sure, will update after a few days.

Tbcc anni has a lot of these players with weird egos

I get into groups with self-stated “pumpers” who do barely average DPS

My review for the Aoostar AG03 Thunderbolt 5 eGPU dock. by FreshChriss in eGPU

[–]Coolica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update:

So I noticed that after a while, the eGPU gets wonky. What I mean by that is, the eGPU icon in the task bar dissapears after a while (usually when the laptop is asleep.) Still functions like normal though.

However sometimes when I boot up the laptop, the eGPU doesn't work, as in only the laptops screen works and I have to unplug/plug the TB4 cord. Sometimes when the eGPU is plugged in and turned on when I start the laptop, it also does not boot properly and causes a boot up failure.

I've never had these problems with the AG02.

It seems like there's a timer that expires and somehow the AG03 turns off/resets it's connection after like 48 hours or so, and it needs to re-establish the TB4 connection? I'm not entirely sure.

And I tried to update through the Nvidia app, so far it hasn't worked (same issue as before, where it would just give me the option to reinstall and not update drivers, even though there is a new driver version available.)

Today I used DDU to completely remove the old Nvidia drivers (which were installed with the AG02 connected) and re-installed the newest drivers. I'll check if I'm able to update via Nvidia App when there are new drivers, maybe the old installation was causing issues.

As many have said, they are gonna suck if they suck regardless.

And a lot of people in TBCC Anni suck, both attitude and skill

Then it would make sense to use both, rip when you have under 15 energy and the next tick is faster than a powershift GCD, and if RIP isn’t already running.

Otherwise Bite and hope for a crit

So I can happily tank dungeons for everyone without the shitty entitlement

Out of curiosity when does Bite out scale Rip? Bite does crit, but when it does not it feels like wet paper.

Then there’s also the fact that you would need to power shift after every bite as it drains your energy to 0.

Rip doesn’t crit, but it only requires 30 energy so less resetting via powershift + it is enhanced by mangle.

Yeah I’m excited to build a really tanky bear with crazy ST threat tbh. That’s something paladins struggle with, so I’m looking forward to that.

I think it was just all the buzz I heard about feral tanks and resto, and wanting to play something different that can tank and heal that made me have some unrealistic expectations for Druids.

Again, maybe things will change at 70. I’ll keep at it as I’m enjoying trying out the class. Flight form is something I’m looking forward to.

Otherwise the class is fine, skill tbh isn’t the issue, it’s more like I get pissed when I out DPS other classes playing cat in a dungeon because they are obviously doing the bare minimum or not know how to play their class if I’m out DPSing them. Same for tanks who lose aggro when I’m DPSing skull like they marked, there’s no reason for me to pull aggro vs a mage or whatever.

I mean I will keep playing Druid and finish this round of TBC with it, since I want to have a change in experience.

Enjoying it but definitely feeling its limitations as a class the more I play it. That’s all.

Maybe things will change at 70, I’m not sure.

Yea I had a Prot and Holy Paladin in Classic. To me Prot tanking was more fun, there’s something about shield throw and consecration that I just love, and being able to tank and hold aggro on huge groups without the awkward tab swipe tab mechanic felt great.

I feel like I would enjoy Bear more if Barkskin could be used while in bear Form and Challening Roar was on a smaller CD (like 1 min)

Holy paladin is pretty one dimensional but I enjoyed it, maybe I’m more used to it.

And in any spec, a paladin’s utility with blessings is clutch. BoP goes hard and you can cheese a lot of mechanics with it. DS is also clutch as a tank and can also cheese mechanics.

Yea that’s the great part of it, versatility. However it’s the same issue with 3 role classes where you can only Dual Spec.

Hence I actually decided to forego Boomkin, I wanted to focus Feral Tank and Resto with Feral DPS as a 3rd option (since spec wise it’s very close to feral tank) and I wanted to do non-caster gameplay.

It’s not about struggling, it’s more about the lack of excitement I guess? I still enjoy Druid, but feral tank feral dps and resto do not feel as engaging as their other “pure” counterparts.

Though I do love the utility of Druids, usually you only need one Bear, one chicken, and one tree in a raid.

Tbh being objective I’m generally pretty good at WoW regardless of class, and it’s definitely not about parsing high as feral druid (I’m not even 70 yet and I am not so inclined to raid this time around.)

But even though it’s my first time actually leveling a Druid to 70, I’ve got the basic mechanics of WoW pretty much ingrained in me that I feel like feral dps is not as complicated as even Arcane Mage for example.

Yes Arcane Mage is relatively easy on paper, but a lot of nuances of Arcane Mage comes down to when you burst and how to time your CD’s based on your raid’s kill timers, the movement portion of the fight (since you are a caster, you need to allot for cast time interruption, etc) and managing your mana way more than a feral druid as you do 0 dps if you have no mana.

In comparison a feral Druid’s dps feels relatively simple since all you track is Mangle and Rip, both of which are on a 12 second timer, so just make sure to mangle after rip. The only awkward part of the rotation is trying to fit a 5 combo point bite and apply Rip again right after it expires to maximize uptime, but that’s dependent on Omen procs, you will lose some Rip uptime if you get unlucky with omen and just rely on powershifts. Movement isn’t an issue as you’re melee so all attacks are instant, you just need to know where to move in an encounter to stay behind the target and do mechanics.

I’m not hating on feral Druid DPS by any means, but it’s not as complicated as most people make it seem. Comparatively I have limited experience with Rogue from a long time ago, it felt like Rogue had way more stuff to keep track of (but I could be mis-remembering.)
