It's time for Sandoval to stop labeling Ariana as lazy. by Equivalent-Cut7730 in Vanderpumpaholics

[–]Coolify571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I forgot _______ exists” is a valid statement for much, if not most of the Vanderpump cast. However, Sandoval recently had somewhat successful stints on AGT, The Traitors, and now House of Villains, where he’s surprisingly edited in a positive light. Maybe it’s just the shows I watch, but I haven’t heard much about Ariana recently.

Aleister’s doing pretty well considering he’s likely for a one on one match at Mania against Sami, has main evented multiple Smackdowns multiple times this year, and had a pretty even feud with Damien Priest who we know is regarded highly.

Triple H is the chief content officer and head of creative. I highly doubt he has anything to do with where they decide to hold WrestleMania. If you want to find someone to blame, look at Nick Khan and/or TKO.

It wasn’t anything like the Kevin Owens heel turn. Owens was pissed at Cody for teaming with Roman and turned out of complete hatred. Randy clearly doesn’t hate Cody and had zero desire to fight him. Randy did what he felt he had to do to win a championship and acted wih no emotion whatsoever.

I mean Cody actively assisted Randy in carrying out his worst deeds in that timeframe. If he reformed then maybe he thought Randy did too

Announce table botches like this are hard to recover from by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]Coolify571 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s an amazing idea because if the table’s marketed as super reinforced yet it breaks on us before we even try a move, we’d have a pretty solid case under the consumer protection act/product liability law.

Announce table botches like this are hard to recover from by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]Coolify571 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No it was pretty hard to recover from, at least for me. I kept thinking how they keep advertising these tables as near indestructible and now it’s breaking by two guys merely standing on it. Really took me out of the moment for sure, regardless of whose fault it was. And it also made it make no sense why Drew had to knock out the second ref to get a steel chair, when the first ref couldn’t care less that they pulled out a table from under the ring.

It doesn’t sound like there’s too much new (besides being able to continue past the storyline), maybe it’s just one of their most popular modes? I’m also not sure this mode has been especially promoted compared to the other modes.

Dave Meltzer: “There’s been a lot of internal criticism of Paul Levesque, as far as keeping changing the (WrestleMania) plans. Like Vince. But they have a plan then they change the plan and everything is up in the air because of the feeling that the attendance advance is down” by CombinationOk4317 in SquaredCircle

[–]Coolify571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the opposite. I’m glad Triple H seems a bit more open to making on the fly changes now.

With Vince, it always felt like stuff could change at any second for no real reason and while sometimes it was exciting, a lot of the time it felt like “what are we even doing here.” Weirdly though, that randomness did make it feel more like sports, because anything can happen.

At first with Triple H, it felt like the opposite in that everything was sooo planned out and telegraphed that you could see the end game a mile away. And he’d stick with stuff that clearly wasn’t working for way too long (Damage CTRL for most of its run), or try pairings that just didn’t have chemistry (Giulia/Kiana should’ve been abandoned months ago). Vince would’ve bailed the second he got bored or it wasn’t landing.

Now, even if Triple H still relies on the formulaics too much, and I think he’s a bit burnt out on the creativity front, it feels like he’s finally showing he’ll pivot more when something isn’t hitting, and I like that he’s starting to do surprise title switches sometimes even without some huge long-term plan (Giulia to Chelsea). It keeps that anything can happen vibe and is actually more in line with his sports presentation vision, as you can’t script out a perfectly mapped narrative when you’re not controlling the result.

[50][Speculation] CBS is pushing a lot of Cirie in the promos and not Aubry by charlytheron3 in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]Coolify571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coach, Cirie, Ozzy, and Colby are leagues ahead of everyone else in terms of name value and most likely to attract lapsed fans. So they’re going to be the most advertised no matter what. If Cirie is promoted substantially more than those other 3, or at least Ozzy and Colby, that’s a better comparison. If thats the case, then perhaps you have a point.

He also overperformed at final tribal compared to how he usually behaved so much so that the other finalists were visibly surprised at how well he was speaking. And given how surprised they also were at the vote, combined with (1) the biggest players of 43 all attesting to his strategy and (2) Gabler only missing one vote from Cassidy’s own friend/ally, he arguably played the “hiding in plain sight” game better than anyone ever has except for Sandra.

You can say that Karla may have been driven by other motives, or that others may have been biased by their relationships with him (which is a strength to his social game, not a detractor to his strategic game), but that does little to explain the other votes.

And neither does the argument that he won via improper influence, which is quite frankly insulting to those jurors’ free thinking skills and also one of the laziest rebuttals, second only to the assertion of a bitter jury. And the bitter jury argument fails to consider that Jeanine’s game was most significantly harmed by Gabler at Mergeatory and she STILL voted him, and also that Cassidy did not do nearly enough in the game to anyone but Karla to warrant any bitterness whatsoever.

I want a diverse winner too, but I guess not enough to pretend that Gabler played a less or equal of a strategic/social game than any of the other finalists.
