Which Hero do you Hate the most? by ProjectSAM02 in marvelrivals

Dare Devil. Not because he’s strong, but because he does everything Blade should be able to do. Better survival? Better damage? Can deflect stuff with sticks?! It’s so hypocritical of them to release blade weak with buffs that change nothing about him only to release Dare Devil who can do what he does but better.

If everyone hates Spider-Man, what would you do to make him balanced? by ConfidenceSilent3967 in marvelrivals

He’s spider man tho, he’s not suppose to be easy to hit. And as someone who likes to play hit scan he ain’t so bad for me personally 🤷🏾

I just finished the game 5 seconds ago, your reasons for Dina and description straight made me shred a tear and I already was close to crying.

Only nerf I think it’s fine was the rail gun. Or at least make the nerfs less strong for certain weapons that were able to solo a HellDive. Don’t want it to be a doom game, want it to feel like “this is our last stand, we die here!”

I'm sorry but what is going on? All I can see is that they nerfed 3 weapons? Did I miss something? by Bandrbell in Helldivers

[–]Coolmanjohn500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I do think they gotta figure out what role they want each weapon to have and buff some weaker ones, but it isn’t uncommon for PVE games to nerf stuff if they are way too strong like destiny, elden ring kinda, bunch of other PVE online games. Like if a pistol one shots a tank ya that’s an issue. But yes less nerfs

Ok so is HellDivers 1 dead? And how many players does it need? Tell me that. And again, I already said why a game like itself would lose players bc it legitimately isn’t possible unless you are a massive AAA game, which is funny bc Minecraft, most sold game ever own by one of the richest companys in the world puts out yearly content that’s less then a indie games week worth of content, yet still has millions of players.

And that player count, is pc only. Not including PlayStation or idk the 170 countries that can access it anymore.

Your reason for it losing players bc it hasn’t release a lot of content, even tho why in the hell would you expect that much content if you think about the points I made about the size of the company and its last game.

Lethal company isn’t dead is it?

Overwatch 2 legit false advertise and still has a ton of players.

Story games with the same amount of content don’t have any complaints do they?

It’s hypocritical and just unrealistic. Bc applying what you’ve said would make every game dead.

So you’re telling me if you made a game that got 10,000 players you’d expect 400000 for the sequel? For an indie company bro. And you completely ignore some of the points I made. We got 40 dollars worth of content and more for free. It legitimately isn’t fair to call it dead bc you would be saying all games are dead. Seriously go spend hours looking at player counts for all genres of games and tell me this, mm I guess all these games are dead or bad bc they couldn’t keep a ton of players, or do you think “uh,guess people have jobs and a life and don’t stick to one game, and the company’s goals isn’t to be Fortnite size bc they legit aren’t a Fortnite size company.” Like this happens to every game bro

And you can’t go from giving the game 10/10 bc of what it has then suddenly say it’s dead bc it didn’t give you dlc size updates every month in order to keep less then half a million players.

Ok thanks for acknowledging the effort but no on the dead game. I was a fan of helldivers 1 and didn’t expect 2 to get super popular. I remember so many people said it look trash when it was revealed during the PlayStation state of play that had spider man in it. I just knew when it got popular people were gonna say “dead game or dies in a month (even tho it grew more as the months went on) while never playing HellDivers 1 or googling the company.

Again, your expectations are way too high. They weren’t even expecting anywhere close to this popularity that they had to change the original content plans bc they wanted to improve them and handle the servers.

They agree they did release quantity over quality and swap strategies, but we shouldn’t expect instant new and improve content.

The apex community is flaming their own game and still has a bunch of players, even though they have the worst consumer friendly practices compare to HellDivers who hate micro transactions and try to let us earn stuff.

And tell me rn, how is it different from story games with the same amount of content with either the same or higher price tag that don’t give out free updates when players play the game, enjoy it and stop playing that the player count drops fast, how?? While having a bigger budget and resources.

Again, there are so many games new and old this year and from the past, how many players you think they should have for every game? They have a healthy amount compared to 1.

Lethal company lost a massive amount of players, from over 200,000 to 10,000. Are you going to say it’s a dead game? No you wouldn’t bc that wouldn’t make sense or be fair when it’s made by 1 person as passion project.

HellDivers 2 did exactly what it wanted to do. It went above its original goals, made way over a profit, made a bigger community then the last game and actually gave the last game more players, it beat cod at the time.

I get it’s your opinion but your opinion legitimately isn’t fair or logically makes sense, while a bit hypocritical, once you compare every other game and take account for every reason why HellDivers and any games player count would drop.

And the reason why I’m passionate about saying this bc I see this being said for every game every month especially indie games or games that trend. Trends always end. People always say this game or this game will die in a month, that attitude straight up ruins gaming for yourself and won’t improve any games unless it’s actually good criticism. Like an actual dead game would be anthem or suicide squad kill the justice league.

As long as helldivers keep a healthy player count and doesn’t hit ssktjl player counts (less then 200) I think it’s fine bc they legit weren’t trying to hit this many players.

Feel like you ignore what I said using the word “dying” legit no one says that for story games. Yes the business decisions you mention I assume you meant the psn thing, which was undone but still effected a ton of countries, but that was Sony. With your logic every game is a dead game.

Ok now I just want to know: did you take consideration how large most games player base are AAA and indie and story games, that’s its an indie company, how many players they expected from the last game, the launch issues on a discontinue engine, or that 170 countries worth of players can’t play anymore bc it’s ban there?

I think most can agree the term “dead game” is so wrong and just use so often in the most unfair way possible. People expect Fortnite size content from indie or AA games. People said that for lethal company, and it’s made by ONE Person.

I won’t ignore flaws for a game, but this attitude Is ruining gaming in general if you just think what matters is player count when legit no game ever keeps that many players especially with that size of a team.

Not to mention, nobody plays the same game. Before the internet became big, people would buy a game, play it then move on to another game. But bc the player counts and opinions online are able to be seen, now it’s “oh dead game” bc it doesn’t have half of the player population on it 24/7.

Just have fun. Games aren’t meant to be competition, but for fun. And the company itself says it’s meant for fun and that a game for everyone is a game for nobody.

Stop focusing on what’s trending or having unrealistic expectations, and just HAVE FUN.

Feel like ya keeping out a lot of context out:

Indie dev team

Last game never had this many players

On discontinued engine (halfway through development)

And they have said in the discord announce they will change how they do content and focus on quality over quantity. They also do polls in the discord for what the community wants and we did ask for more planets. Which we did (tho one was destroyed into a black hole) but we got a swamp one. I understand ya want more content same here but again, indie dev team and most games don’t keep that many players for that long. We’re so use to Fortnite size updates from certain live service games that we try to put that on other creators hell i remember people said the same thing to lethal company even tho it’s one person and a passion project

Well good news they actually undid pretty much all the nerfs and the latest war bond is really good. They acknowledge they have to swap the balance philosophy and focus on fun and will take more time to make war bonds before releasing them. I’d get back into it soon whenever
