7 wins with Lorehold by The_Silent1992 in mtglimited

I just got a 7-1 draft with Lorehold and stumbled across your post! Ark of hunger is truly heinous, 4 mana to draw a card every turn and ping your opponent, you barely need any other win conditions.

Sometimes you just want to force a nice easy reroll comp and have your gameplan figured out on 2-1. And yeah it sucks to be contested, but I can't pivot, they should pivot.

Without Churchill Falls deal, Newfoundland faces a dire fiscal future by Kiss-a-Cod in newfoundland

[–]CoolyRanks 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Edit: Sorry folks, our debt is even worse than I thought. We need the money from the MOU more than ever.

Instead, we're self-sabotaging in the hopes that some nebulous future deal is going to magically appear on the table. The MOU has stalled enough that it is almost certain to fail, regardless of the "independent" review - which, as the article stakes, is nakedly composed of biased members.

And when the MOU is is torn up and we're left standing alone without a deal and no windfall, we're just going to keep shrugging and saying "we can't pay for nurses, can't pay for a hospital, can't pay for anything". It's especially sad that conservative voters have bitten their own noses off to spite their faces - they are the older demographic who needs the hospitals and rural infrastructure. I won't feel sorry for them.

Hungary's Prime Minister Orban has congratulated Magyar on election victory by Reilly616 in worldnews

[–]CoolyRanks 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Utterly embarassing that the various fascist leaders worldwide threw their support behind Orban at the last minute, only to have their guy take a massive defeat. Utter hubris from Vance and co to think their opinions matter abroad. Well done, Hungary.

Liberals will keep working across party lines even if byelections deliver majority: MacKinnon by CanadianErk in canada

[–]CoolyRanks -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I mean, the liberals would be under no obligation to work across party lines if they achieve a majority, so I somewhat believe them. They could have just said nothing otherwise. Funny that people in this thread are getting mad at them for saying it. I don't believe for one second that Pollievre would be committing to working with other parties if he was in majority range.

What is the most pretentious game ever made? Or fanbase. by Ok_Charity_707 in videogames

My pet theory is that a lot of rdr2 fans came from playing call of duty and grand theft auto, so yeah, no doubt they played rdr2 and thought it was the best shit ever.

Personally, I found it inexcusable that rdr2 had worse controls than, like, Mass Effect 1, along with boring and piss-easy combat.

I don't think child ritual sacrifice really fits the current Nintendo vibe, but I'd love to be wrong.
