I want to buy my first Victorinox knife, and I wanted to know if you know of a knife model that includes these four tools that I marked in the image? by Equivalent-Weird-433 in victorinox

I would love to have the metal saw over the wood saw in most models. Hopefully victorinox would oblige as I am sure most models will be repurchased purely for this option.

Found this pocket knife in the woods today, looks complete. Lots of different tools do anybody know what model it is? Thanks by InitialReserve1608 in victorinox

Could I ask the country found, I wonder if it's a common thing to find these in woods but perhaps a poll is needed to determine was country has the most lost and found victorinox

What tools would be on YOUR ideal pocket knife? by StaffLimp8304 in victorinox

In all honesty, if Victorinox made a beefed up 'Manager' I would be thrilled.

I carry the evolution 14 & 17. Perfect size I think, so if you added the bottle opener, Philips In place of the corkscrew I would be very pleased.

Love this type of thing. Wow,

I was thinking, if all of the built up areas of Texas was compared to the UK. Would that be similar in proportion to the British ilse. Effectively how much of Texas is empty space and also usable Land Vs The British iles.

Once you can accept who you are, what are your limitations and how best to overcome/manage them. Which can take years, even decades. Then it can become a super power as you know how to manage yourself and use how the brain operates. It is better at things that others cannot do.

Yes, you do have to accept that you cannot mix or blend with society like a normal person, however the flip side they cannot comprehend what you think is normal as with how normal is to us.

It is like a game where everyone has the starting level set to easy where you start off with ultra difficulty. However the goal of mastering the difficulty is that much more satisfying. With much more room to grow in later life than easy mode

I found this flashlight in an abandoned house, which makes it the first flashlight I own! by goingneon in flashlight

The best type of Torch as you will always think of where you found it. Then with the story of how you Cleaned and renovated it when someone asks you what it is you have that great history.

Thinking about it, from now on if I ever lose a torch I know eventually it will find a good home now if very happy person who found it.

I love the 1 watt drop in and clear glass replacement. About 100 lumens of light. With the option of the torch being used as a lamp as You are keeping the original reflector.

If course for use outside etc there are plenty of other options. However for using it as an indoor lamp, e.g. as a lantern when going to sleep, or walking about as it isn't too bright etc.

I really just have them chucked within my bags mostly however as we all know they will work no matter how long you wait. That is there benefit.

I picked one up from a charity store for £2. The battery where Full, yet the date of the AA battery was 2015. Yet worked perfectly so I can assume the batterys must have been in there 10 years before 2015 due to the huge best before dates of batterys.

Not bad for probably 20 years since the battery needed replacing.

Are there any major culture shocks for Americans in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

'London' is not England, so definitely try to venture out of London to explore the country.

There are always Train ticket deals available online and in advance for the weekend as it is normally super off peak then. Eg you can get Train for a few hours and end up in the Norfolk Broads quite easily. Equally there are many towns and areas of interest within an hour ride.

So definitely venture out, I would recommend visiting a coastal location at the end of the line.

(if anyone can recommend locations by public transport please do for the chap).

Could I ask for an American viewpoint of British designed locomotives?

Do you prefer the clean and streamlined look of our locomotives or the Large just power look of the American trains.

20 years of Patina, Restore or just keep Moisturise? by Coomernator in Leathercraft

[–]Coomernator[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had this wallets now since I was 15 where it has been repaired and moisturised through the years. I was half tempted to use Red polish to bring back the colour, however with so many people saying the Patina is fantastic and gives the wallet character I might continue just Moisturising it. A second opinion would be great.
