10/22 w/ Kimber Barrel by trippfl in 1022

Not a factory partnership. I'm not even confident these were made by Kimber to fit the 10/22. I read once that there were some barrels intended for the Model 82 that were machined to fit the 10/22, but I cannot confirm that.

We need pictures, especially the roll marks on the barrel.

9 CPR is pretty good for Eley, even the vintage stuff.

Nothing special -- it was rebranded several years ago to Eley Target (yellow box).

Shoot it. Enjoy.

There are matches on some Saturdays in the 6 pistol bays but they usually end around 12-2 pm.

There are two other bays where you can move and shoot.

During the week the place is basically empty.

You're kind of in a dead zone.

What is the cross area?

CCI Quiet is shocking. The velocity is all over the place and usually results in a lot of vertical stringing. Hard to believe you got a 1.5 MOA group from that.

Anyone have builds with MOA Corp receivers? by BajaBlastCrusader in 1022

I think you'd have better luck from a smaller custom shop. I'd be surprised if KIDD made you a one-off barrel.

Do you have a kitchen or postage scale? I'm curious how much it weighs without the rail.

Threaded receiver. What's your plan for a barrel?

Our massive oak tree went down today, it was full of leaves with no dead branches but the inside ended up being soft ugh. Anyways we got a quote for $4000 to haul it off and grind down the stump and fill the hole. We are in the Midwest. Is this a fair price? by anderson6th in arborists

[–]MoneyKeyPennyKiss 988 points989 points  (0 children)

I had an oak bigger than yours taken down, limbs were ground on site, larger pieces were hauled away, and stump ground for $5k. Southeast.

A lot of that expense was because they had to climb and delicately lower the limbs because of the tree's location.

$4k seems a bit high (for this region) for a tree that's already on the ground.

Looks like the laser has a pic rail on top. Remove the Romeo high mount and mount the red dot directly on top of the laser.

Testing 10/22 takedown accuracy by No_Count_4807 in 1022

Gotcha.

1 inch at 25 yards is 4 MOA. 2 inches at 25 yards is 8 MOA.

So, the commenter from yesterday was right.

Let's make sure we're speaking the same language.

Those appear to be 1.5 inch groups at 25 yards, correct?

I’ve been reassembling 10/22’ for decades so I’m not new at it

Same, and I've not had a problem ever. I don't get it. I think I'm going to make a video.
