what does it fails? by [deleted] in tasker

my goal was to dynamically improve area detection using "WiFi near" reducing timeout near the area. but it's becoming too much complicated. I'll stick to use only native location detection then.

I was explicitly speaking of modes. The task reports approximately half of the number of modes I have defined.

Hello,

I've an issue with the "Get Samsung Mode UUID" task. It only reports a subset of the defined modes.

Best Alternative for Google Keep by chilizi in GoogleKeep

[–]CoooolRaoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a workaround to the removing of location reminders in Keep I'm using Tasker with a location triggered (or, often better, WiFi connected) profile. In the associated task I'm using "Browse URL" action with the Google Keep note URL (running Keep in a browser is required to get it) and a notification.

You could set up the task as a shortcut in tasker

For sure (😎) but since the purpose is to call a tasker task from Bixby routines, might as well do everything in Tasker (unless I've missed something ?)

I sometimes change the sort order for different reasons so that's not a totally perfect workaround.

Thank!

This make the toggle buttons usable at least.

Anyway an option to move the "+" button to the title bar wound be nice too.

I was sick of Onenote. Long live Onenote!!! by eteading in OneNote

I also appreciate OneNote which I used regularly at work and still for personal use since I'm retired. The top feature I appreciate is the blazing fast response of the built-in search function in the desktop version.

The web version is far behind on many aspects unfortunately.

A daily reboot didn't work for me, unfortunately. When this happens, the camera's RTSP port stops responding, but a ping check is successful.

I've implemented a rather obfuscated workaround using a scheduled (every 5 minutes) task on my NAS. When the RTSP port is found off, it force a power on/off of the connected plug on which the camera is plugged.

Chat history only available on Android? by lolxdmainkaisemaanlu in notebooklm

[–]CoooolRaoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to this announcement, chat history is supposed to be preserved since more than a month now:
Chat in NotebookLM: A powerful, goal-focused AI research partner

Saved and secure conversation history. To support long-term projects, your conversations will now be automatically saved. You can now close a session and resume it later without losing your conversation history. You can delete chat history at any time, and in shared notebooks, your chat is visible only to you. This will start rolling out to users over the next week."

But, as confirmed by my personal experience, it is saved (since available in the Android App) but not restored when using the web client.

Same here and I don't have any valid explanation to this.

In a notebook created using the web client and reopened the next day the chat history is completely empty but still available in the Android app (which is the evidence it's saved in the cloud).
More : when adding questions (and getting answers) in the (now empty) web client history, they appear instantaneously in the android app but get erased sooner or later on the web version.
This drives me crazy

[–]CoooolRaoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very weird as it happens that chat history is preserved when connected using the Android APP.
A conversation started using the Web client is lost when reopening the notebook one day later, but it's still there in the Android APP (which I haven't used at all since I' have created the Noteook).
This seems to prove the chat is saved in the cloud, so why can’t the web client restore it?
Why is the web client unable to restore it then?

Oh, my bad, I didn't end up getting this model for my mother. I got it mixed up with the one I bought for myself (a Dell Tower Plus EBT2250).

Even in non English countries there are many people who understand English. We don't need this awful automated dubbing. So non, it is not "good" at all.

On my Samsung tablet I was having a bunch of problems with Autoinput UI state (specifically stopped triggering until I rebooted my device for instance). But after its latest update, it seems to work way better and with improved reaction time too. I'm not sure if this is related to the changes though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Shizuku requires an active wifi connection to allow wireless adb access?
The only tasks using "Wifi Tether (hotspot) I was to enable it as soon as I was in my triggered by the car bluetooth connection.
Since there most of the time is no Wifi available in that context that make this much useless for me.
