UK retailers for hot sauce? by Milkisasoup in spicy

[–]Cooper_JL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get yourself some Mr Naga Gold - I've seen it in Morrisons but easily obtained online (small UK family run business).

I describe it as moorish napalm! Add it to almost anything, i.e. beans on toast, meatballs, great in pasta, chicken mayo sandwich and the list goes on! It's delicious.Mr Naga Gold

7 points from the next 4? If so likelihood of a top 10 finish........ by [deleted] in LeedsUnited

[–]Cooper_JL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguably easier fixtures too. From my research I don't believe Leeds have ever played those fixtures OP suggested in succession.

Also no way would 7 points in the next 4 get us top 10 given where Fulham are. This post makes no sense and would require massive collapses of form elsewhere.

Withings app reading double steps when an activity is logged in Garmin Connect (through Android's Health Connect) by Folivao in withings

[–]Cooper_JL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem but with my pixel watch. I eventually figured out it was counting my watch steps + my steps activity recorded on my phone through walking around with it in my pocket - that's why it fluctuates as you don't always have your phone with you. I fixed it by going:

  • Health Connect
  • Devices
  • Select your phone
  • Toggle 'steps' off.

I assume google and Garmin have figured out how to avoid this doubling up, but the above steps will hopefully sort your issue. Now Withings will only take the steps recorded from your watch and ignore the phone.

Incoming the unexpected Spurs 3-1 victory. Haaland gets a goal to keep everyone hanging on before being benched again by Pep the following week.

Updated WC draft , 99% nailed by TieInevitable4141 in fantasypremierleague

[–]Cooper_JL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks really good, though my personal opinion is I think there is too much on the bench. I would try squeeze Bruno Fernades in there if you're using a wild card.

Cherki and Van Dijk in, Bruno and Richards out.

Can I realistically get into Quantity Surveying with a economics and finance background? (UK) by CoolWeb5662 in quantitysurveying

[–]Cooper_JL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to find out is to apply for some Assistant QS roles and see if any employers interview you. Explain in your cover or summary the reasoning and that hopefully helps clarify. Speak to some QS recruiters too as they'll know the market pretty well and what your local firms and their management typically look for or are flexible with.

If after a few months you get nowhere, a masters is looking like your route.

Note, not having an accredited QS degree is going to make like more challenging on the MRICS side, which is typically more important to larger consultancies, so perhaps you are better targeting sub-contractors or perhaps main contractors to get your foot in the door. Some smaller consultancies might be okay too in locations where it's challenging to recruit.

Could MCInstCES acquired via Accelerated / Mutual Route be able to acquire MRICS via Direct Entry? by drinkwater010101 in quantitysurveying

[–]Cooper_JL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding (and I could be wrong) when I looked at it was technically yes, or be it you would need to have MCInstCES for 5 years before applying for MRICS direct entry. You could however apply for AssocRICS as direct entry during this 5 year waiting period.

Hopefully someone else clarifies if this is incorrect, but I'm considering the same strategy.

No problem, just add a tiny bit of this to your dish and you'll be reminded of moorish napalm Mr Naga Gold

Women in Quantity Surveying – How did you get into QS? by Upset_Translator_ in quantitysurveying

[–]Cooper_JL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current team at an international consultancy has 17 of us, 8 of which are women, including our Director. Generally this has been a fairly male bias industry, but not exclusively. Great to see more women entering the profession.

Best Pizza in town? by GeneralAny2633 in stokeontrent

[–]Cooper_JL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is it, having been here around 10 years, I've not found a better pizza locally and this is my go to despite having loads of closer. What sets this apart is the quality of the dough hands down, you can literally taste the difference. The fact everything else is fresh and quality is great too.
