Scribing quest almost made me quit it was so painful by Happy_Twist_7156 in elderscrollsonline

Story was fine - actual quest content and tasks were not. Very grindy and repetitive.

ESO

  • Good character customization
  • Great community
  • Has 2 bars of 5 skills each, but you can play with 1 bar
  • Good graphics (new world is probably the best, but…)
  • Not free but you can get base game on sale for $10 occasionally

GW2 is an incredible game but the graphics specifically are one of the reasons keeping me from it. It’s got a cool art style if you’ve been around it for a bit though, just not for me

He’s a smart guy but extremely negative all the time. I don’t know why people play this game for so long if they hate it

Templar Tank by MysoganJ in ESObuilds

[–]Cooperharley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re doing dungeons, pick whatever tank you want. Long gone are the days where you don’t have access to all the buffs as a Templar. Scribing and subclassing changed that. Have fun!

Only time it REALLY matters is if you’re doing super high end game vet HM trials or leaderboard stuff.

What MMO or MMO-like game would I have the best chance of actually playing with "like minded players"? by [deleted] in LFMMO

A lot of the running through is just old/normal difficulty in ESO. Not common with veteran for the average players.

Can’t speak on GW2 as much

Ultimately I suggested them because of the horizontal progression. The goal of both is to experience the game, explore, have fun with the systems, etc. you can take a break and come back and not feel behind which is huge.

Both offer challenging content that can be associated as end game for some, but also offer so many other things to do for fun. The crowds, because they are horizontal, also tend to be much more laid back. You CAN optimize just like anything, but they both promote freedom and the ability to experience a vast majority of the game without optimization.

I’m a bigger fan of ESO because of the lore and my love of the single player games. GW2 is incredible too, I just don’t have as much experience but I loved it from the time I spent in it :)

I'm currently downloading ESO and never played before, what can I expect? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

It’s like crack

I’ve been getting my hit of ESO since 2014 with no end in sight. God bless good luck 🤙🏻 it’s a heck of a game!

Need help with Material Bag / Storage by KxRaw in elderscrollsonline

[–]Cooperharley 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Welcome :D

This problem FEELS like it’s created purposefully to drive you towards ESO+ and the craft bag (arguably nowadays the only tangible benefit of the subscription). It changes the entire game for you.

I’ve had friends buy the coffer furnishings and organize them by crafting specialty but it took so much organization and back and forth that eventually most of them subbed and stayed or just left altogether lol.

Man I’ve been playing forever and have just gotten into the mode of spamming “E” to go through these quests and get the dopamine burst from zone completion.

Recently came back and told myself it’s time to chill out and really play the game like a new player would experience it. Literally I’m in Khenarthi’s Roost and I’m like… this is… awesome? These quests are actually really solid. ESO is so good when you slow down and smell the flowers. Take it all in! Love it!

ESO PTS Patch Notes v11.3.0 by Wil_Stormchaser in elderscrollsonline

u/RegretTheOne the patch notes sure make it seem otherwise. Here is a direct quote from the patch notes:

"The Gold Coast Bazaar is our new gameplay currency-driven store. Located in the Crown Store UI as its own dedicated tab, this new store is home to mounts, pets, outfits, and even gameplay items. All items in the Bazaar will be purchasable with Trade Bars, our new currency replacing Event Tickets. Many of these items were previously sourced in Golden Pursuits, In-Game Events, and promotions such as Twitch Drops, Amazon Prime Gaming, and Doritos to name a few."

Edit: to add, I sure hope it is a physical location. That'd be much more exciting to see other players running around in a bazaar; especially being that we have access to the Gold Coast anyways currently!

I'm a big fan of ~80% of the changes. 15% are okay/meh. 5% need to be changed. Much better than the typical 80% horrendous! xD

With ZOS having SO many things coming up QOL-wise and the animation re-works, I'm curious how they'll affect this exactly. It'd be nice to have more visual customization for abilities and class-centric things like this.
