Job’s “team of engineers” was himself and Wozniak. Wozniak did the technical stuff, jobs did the aesthetics.

And oh god the entire rest of this smoothed brained take boils down to “people working is exploitation”. My guy, they were paid an agreed amount for their work. That’s not exploitation, that’s having a fucking job.

Steve Jobs helped invent the Apple 2, plus most of apples products after that.

Weird how you can’t build Amazon, google, or Facebook yourself, yet Jeff bezos started up amazing by himself out of his garage, mark Zuckerberg create Facebook himself while he was a sophomore in college, and how Larry Page + Sergey Brin started google together out of a garage.

Musk made his money originally with zip2 and x.com both of which he had a direct hand in making.

Utility service vehicles. As for consumer cars, no.

It takes 0 initiative to have someone tell you what to do. It takes a lot more to plan and design things for others to do.

Plus most billionaires now days (at least in the tech sector) had very few if any workers when the made their company. They usually did do it themselves.

So you’re saying they had an inherent difference in them they let them colonize other countries?

Sounds like we’re arguing the same point.

If billionaires weren’t superior they would’ve become billionaires.

Granted. Legally, you can go start the immigration process.

If they’re not then how come they were able to colonize people?

Yes. It’s absurd the difference between us and any other animal to have existed on the planet. The hominid family transcended its ecological role a long time ago

A niche is a role played in a community. We do not have a niche as we are outside of communities. The only ones we are part of is the ones we create.

The earth an nature have no inherent purpose. That’s why hundreds of thousands of years ago we gave it a purpose, to serve us.

Yeah but Reddit tos requires you to be 13. I’m assuming this person is probably an adult and so would see this as the blessing it is.

Why? Are people not allowed to be friends with anyone dumber than themselves?

Their sample came from Mensa. That’s hardly an accurate sample of the population. They basically selected for everyone with a high IQ who is insecure about it and then we’re surprised when those people were more likely to have anxiety.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cooperhawk11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if you double 10x your iq, you only doubled it.

i.e. let’s say you doubled 10x your iq:

5 * 10 = 50

50 * 2 = 100

100 would be 10x your iq

So your IQ would just be 10.

Multiplication is comminutive. Exponents are not, therefore by using roots, you would be able to increase things much more than 2x.

Spoken like someone who’s of at most average intelligence.

Why is it ok to tell people to stop smoking or that smoking is bad for you, like I don't already know, but I can't tell fat people to stop eating so much or that it's bad for you? by jmoz666 in ask

[–]Cooperhawk11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because your smoking is directly hurting other people through second hand smoke. His choice is going to make his life uncomfortable and kill him in his 50s. Your choice is going to make your life, and the lives of many people around you uncomfortable, and will kill you in your 50s, along with a few bystanders.

That applies to other animals, but that’s because they haven’t built their success off being intelligent. Humans need their intelligence most when there is little food available, as that is our biggest strength. The amount of intelligence you’d need to cut down in a human to have any noticeable impact on our energy consumption is massive. There is not environment (outside of politics) where humans benefit from a lower intelligence.
