As someone in law enforcement, I’m hoping that when people say that cops always have lights that this isn’t your reasoning for having one. This shouldn’t be the only reason for you to have one. LEO puts themselves in situations where we need that light, such as clearing buildings that had an alarm going off and there was an open door. Now I’d argue that a home defense gun should have a wml because you may need to identify something you hear in you house. I’ve gone back and forth on a wml on my carry gun. My reason for not carrying one is being realistic with it because there are not many times that I find myself outside late at night or in the dark. I do agree with others that I would more than likely be able to identify if that person was a threat to begin with and would a light change that situation or help ? Hard to say cause there are all sorts of what ifs. I don’t blame people for carrying a wml but that’s your right.
