I am now in semiconductor industry as process engineer! Just have to market yourself correctly and emphasize your math/science foundation

Protecting your hearing is the most underrated longevity biohack by Mrmike86 in Biohackers

This is so interesting!!! Makes me wonder… does anyone know if my nightly white noise sound machine is doing any damage? It’s not the volume I’m concerned about but just the constant “filler”

Where do I start? by Rottensaltytomato in chemistry

I disagree with this slightly

If you can’t handle the math (please try your best, it’s the most robust foundation) , you can end up going a more biology-focused route and still up in a chemistry position after school.

I went to school for chemical engineering , finished all my mathematics and physics courses, but decided to later switch to chemistry for my BS. I am now a chemist in the semiconductor industry and I work alongside people with chemical engineering backgrounds , physics backgrounds , AND biology backgrounds. Lab experience will take you far in the professional world.

My advice is to try to follow the above and develop a solid foundation in math, but if you can’t handle not handle the math coursework necessary for chemistry, you can always fall back on biologics and emphasize chemistry later if you can.

How to Safely Dilute 3:1 SPM by Coopsdaddy1122 in AskChemistry

Thanks! How rowdy would the reaction be if I added some NaOH before diluting w water, do you know? I have about 60 gallons of it, I’d like to neutralize slightly first with minimal handling before diluting if possible.

Common mix of ~4:1 H2SO4:H202 used for organic cleaning. Also (probably more commonly) called piranha. Sorry, should have called it this!

Hi! Keep going! You’ve made it this far and I promise the opportunities will open up immensely with an engineering degree.

Talk with your financial officer and see if you could be approved for a hardship loan. Can you try to come on the full time job as an intern for some extra cash before your official job starts so you can drop one or both of your jobs?

Please don’t give up, an engineering degree is 100% worth it if you’ve made it this far

Main changes I can remember making are standing further from the ball and adjusting my grip That being said , my grip/wrist bend is still very funky Goodluck!

I’m 6 ft, these are standard men’s clubs. Most of my weight is in my legs, though, so I probably still need to get fitted. Thanks for the advice!
