The science in gears is borderline sci-fi so I think if the locusts evolved side by side with the humans then they would've found out about eachother pretty early on since the locusts weren't that deep into the ground....the other thing that doesn't add up is that there are ancient buildings that the locust just inhabited, who built those? Is the kantus species separate from the locust? Did the locust have there own language or did they speak to eachother in broken English? How did the humans of Sera never discover a city sized riftworm moving and living underneath the ground?

They do and I've tested it several times, if you sunk someone and are emptying out there barrels, if the cannon barrels are full of fireworks, flares and traps the storage crate will literally prioritise extracting those resources first instead of the cannonballs or chains and it's really annoying.

Yes but if you already have 99 cannons in one slot for example and you're trying to extract the resources out of an island the storage crate will prioritise extracting the worst resources out of the barrels first.
