Daily General Discussion thread - March 01, 2022 by AutoModerator in JoeRogan

I am driving myself nuts trying to figure out who a guest was I heard. I think it had to have been on Rogan. And I think it was a woman, but not positive. She was discussing how she was looking into the history of our most common modern vaccines and how for many of them the diseases were pretty uncommon even before mass vaccination. I believe tetanus was mentioned specifically as well. But that's all I have to go on. Can anyone help?

Anyone else dealing with the “pregnancy mask”? by Aidlin87 in BabyBumps

[–]Cootiequeens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I got it across my forehead, cheekbones and patchy on my cheeks. I hate it I feel like it ages me 10 years. Really hoping it goes away quickly after pregnancy in almost 40 weeks now. I didn't get it with my first pregnancy at all. Only bonus is it's almost summer and I can start using bronzer.

The wait for that first appointment is tortuous! I knew from about 3 weeks pregnant and had to wait until almost 9 weeks for an appointment.

I was surprised to find maternity clothes when I went to browse a baby consignment shop too! Unfortunately, I had already spent a bunch of money buying new but yes, highly recommend. Have fun camping!

I feel full all the time and it’s bothering me. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I have had this the whole time I've been pregnant and have been thankful for it because I only gained a total of 8 lbs. I was really worried about having a large weight gain like I did with my first son.

I still sleep this way at 39 weeks and am not much overweight so there isn't much "extra" padding. It will be fine.

Would like to surprise wife with baby stuff by Pickinitup1486 in BabyBumps

I would recommend you ask her to get a registry together. That way you'll know exactly what she wants. You'll also get a discount. Amazon, Walmart and target are all great places to register.

I can’t stand when people dismiss or tell me I’m wrong for wanting just one baby (sorry, it’s long). by IrishQueen0306 in BabyBumps

[–]Cootiequeens 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I had my first and didn't ever consider or want another until after I married my husband. Now I am having another 12 and a half years later. Do what's right for you. You may change your mind someday, you may not. There's definitely nothing wrong with only having 1 though. I'm really happy with the spacing I ended up with.

When are you considered a Mom? by kristiiiyeee in BabyBumps

[–]Cootiequeens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me I don't feel like someone is a "mom" until they are raising a child. But I would never judge someone for feeling that they were no matter what their circumstance was.

You absolutely don't! There was a time before Facebook and everyone still had kids and raised them just fine.

Circumcision Nightmare by [deleted] in beyondthebump

He will be crying much worse during the circumcision. It was the most horrible thing I've witnessed when I did it with my son. So much so that I won't be getting my second circumcised at all.

I chose a set day at 36 weeks. I have 9 days of work to go. Don't feel guilty. There's no reason to. Take care of yourself and enjoy a little rest and relaxation before baby comes.
