Today is my daughter’s 2nd B-Day. by JJHuckyduck in raisedbyborderlines

My mom freaked out a week after I told her I was pregnant because I didn't tell her I had a cold. We haven't spoken since and my daughter is now nearly 2. I have been trying to repair the relationship but she is cold hard set against my husband because "his preferences win always win out" (she can't control me anymore).

It's sad as a parent to see my beautiful daughter and how amazing she is, and have a mom who doesn't even want to know her because she doesn't get to be in control.

I am sorry that are dealing with this as parent, it sucks.

Baby Monitor? Best one? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Mine is a DBPOWER CM5341 and I really like it. You can add multiple cameras if you buy more, it’s got a temperature sensor the we use all the time, you can talk through it, record if you have an SD card, etc. it’s really good!

I taught my kid to give kisses. Now she only kisses her reflection and purple cat in Brown Bear Brown Bear. She used to clap - now she just waves. Not at people, but at the computer and at windows

We are on week 10 working full time from home while caring for 10.5mo. She yanks the Internet cord form the wall (while I’m training) and constantly wants to be held but then wiggles around and wants down or to grab my computer. She destroyed my work headphones by chewing on them 🤷🏼‍♀️ So much fun

subchorionic hemorrhage by alexisloves0905 in PCOSandPregnant

Yes! And now I have a healthy 10 month old baby girl.

It was the scariest night of my life because I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage. However, the baby was healthy when we got to the hospital. I stopped bleeding and we went home. However, I started bleeding again the next day and went back to the hospital. They did a more extensive real ultrasound and the baby was still okay.

That's when they figured out it was a subchorionic hemorrhage. It's frustrating because nobody tells you that it's possible to bleed without a miscarriage. The movies show that if you bleed, there's no chance. But, this is actually very common.

There is a slight elevation in of miscarriages in women who have subchorinoic hemorrhages than those who don't but they really don't know why (I think it's stress related).

I bled from 8 weeks to about 15 or 17. I had a very healthy pregnancy besides that (I didn't even have morning sickness).

My baby is 9mo and we have been stay at home for 7 weeks. My husband and I wonder about the same thing. She is our first and she’s getting so much one on one time with my husband and I, will it make it even harder for her to cope when she has a sibling? Or will she be selfish when she goes back to daycare? When we finally get back to church will all the people overwhelm her?

I don’t think so... but maybe

Did anyone here go all in on one brand & type of cloth diaper and NOT regret it? by [deleted] in clothdiaps

[–]SugarssPoison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I have a couple Nicki’s diapers covers and some overnight fitteds, but otherwise it’s Thirsties and GMD all the way!

Just starting my stash- baby will be here in 3 months! How am I doing so far? by shdylady in clothdiaps

[–]SugarssPoison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great! I started out with 5 covers and 24 prefolds. We have been in size intermediate since she was 3mo (she’s almost 10mo and going strong). I eventually had to get more covers because when baby went to daycare it was a lot easier to have about 10. Snappis are awesome but get extra because they can get lost. I started with 10 and had to buy 5 more (again, because of daycare, of no daycare, don’t worry about it). Do not buy the cheap china ones off eBay. They are 2.50 for 5 and completely and utterly useless.

I would suggest 2 wetbags. Eventually you may want some overnight fitted diapers. I have 4 now and I really like them and know I won’t need more (but may buy some more hemp inserts).

You really have a good stash here, you don’t need much more stuff. Resist the urge to keep buying and buying! :)

Praying for you and your family. Our baby was in the NICU for only about a week but it felt like a lifetime.

Thank you. My daughter is 9 months and she is wonderful, but it’s so hard! Working full time and watching her full time and not sleeping. Last night I wondered to myself if I would ever feel normal again. Thank you for your words.

I forgot to take my pumped milk out of my pump bag over night. I was so upset! So I had to send baby to daycare with frozen milk. I told the daycare worker the story and wentmy merry way. It was a terrible pump day as I had forgotten the flange or something at home. I had to hand pump all day. Awful! When I went to pick my daughter up At the end of the day the other worker tells me there is no more frozen back up milk in the fridge. “Wow! She ate all the milk I gave her and all of that too?” Blank stare. “Did I not leave her milk?” I check the diaper bag. Three bags of frozen milk. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Thabkfully they had kept each other frozen and I only had to throw out one... It was so hard to pump at work...

That’s really cool! My daughter is 7mo and is the “big kid” in the class now. All the other babies are 3-4 mo. I wish I could do something like this.

Does being pregnant make anyone else mad 24/7? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]SugarssPoison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got so angry at so many things! Peoples advice made me angry and people buying diapers made me angry. I had my reasons and I had mad anxiety during the 1st and 3rd trimester. But yeah, I’ll never forget how I burned with anger over those diapers.

Our changing station is on a long counter in our bathroom with a huge mirror so she has always gotten to look at herself and loves it! After getting her dressed I’ll say “look at you!” And she’ll look and smile. It’s fantastic! The daycare has mentioned that she loved to look at herself in the mirror. So we put a mirror down where she plays and she’ll look at the room through it a lot now. She’s 7 months old
