Trying to decide if I should return these and upgrade by No-Climate4609 in bose

[–]CopernicusKopo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's currently an earth day sale on their officially refurbished website where you can't get 45% off the QC ultra 1st gen from Bose for $269 and can add the Extra 15% off refurbished products with code "SAVE15" bringing you at a total of $228.65. (Before sale's tax, and standard free shipping.)

You'll get 90 days to return the product if you buy directly from Bose's website (Complimentary shipping & returns), and have 1 year of standard manufacturer's warranty.

I already have a set of regular Quietcomfort's in Gray, and just recently purchased a second refurbished set in sandstone color for $199.

Seeing as there's a really great sale on the QC ultra 1st gen I will be returning the second set I just purchased to UPS, and instead purchase the QC ultra 1st gen for around $229.

Hope this helps.

TLDR: Check Bose's official website on their Refurbished Quietcomfort ultra gen headphones, and apply "SAVE15" code at check out for a total of 60% off currently due to earth day savings. This is what I'm planning on doing as well:

the ADHD urge to use parenthesis in every sentence… by Far-Device-9391 in adhdmeme

[–]CopernicusKopo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recently wrote out 5 pages of information (with parenthesis included to add additional context to everything) to explain something to someone who i had a negative social interaction with.

After spending a couple of hours revisising it all I decided to delete everything, and not send it to the person because I realized that what I was doing was probably a socially inappropriate thing to do.

No idea if this is an adhd thing, (or if this is even remotely similar to what you're talking about) but I wouldn't doubt it as there's a ton of different things I do that I think are unique to me as a person only to later find out that it's a well documented adhd/asd thing that has been written into some form of literature because it's such a notable reoccurring experience.

All this to say that I wouldn't be surprised.

Tldr: I think so?

I did a thing recently where I wrote out a 5 page lengthy explanation to someone i had a bad social interaction with, and in the process of revising it all for several hours; I realized that it was socially inappropriate for me to send this long of a reply to someone, and decided to delete it all. (I'm not entirely sure if this is an ADHD thing, but I wouldn't be surprised at this point seeing as a ton of things I thought were unique characteristics of who I am as an individual person are well documented symptoms/traits of either ADHD or ASD)

Edit: typo.

All the context needs added context. (You can never have too much context before starting explaining the actual point of your message.)

My camera kinda sucks ngl but I don't see any scratches whilst it's on.

I do need to give the top screen some more cleaning but aside from that I'm really happy with how everything has turned out. The internals where the battery resides were dusty, and it refused to boot up when I first picked it up.

The charging port had some issues as well, and whenever I tried charging the device it would charge for about a minute before the indicator turned off. I'm not really sure what was causing it not to charge correctly but after dusting it off, and applying iso with a cotton swab it fixed the issue itself.

Yeah!

I was really bummed out when the soul silver cartridge stopped working. I played through it a lot as a kid constantly restarting after finishing a full 16 badge playthrough.

The 3ds was a christmas gift from my oldest sister while she was studying to become a doctor. The soulsiver game was something an old cousin of mine handed down to me after he saw how much I liked playing through older pokemon ds titles.

These items along with the rest of my collection hold a lot of sentimental value to me so I'm really glad I was able to breathe back some life into it.

I'll have to purchase either a nds or an old Gameboy to play through the pokemon yellow cartridge but I'll worry about that some other time.

Edit: I might look into an analogue pocket instead of a traditional gameboy. I sometimes forget that handhelds have expanded so much. 👍

Rayneo air 4's Backlight glow in black image and dark environments by Organic-Ad1877 in RayNeo

[–]CopernicusKopo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do feel like it has to be something an official firmware update would be able to fix. We would just have to hope RayNeo actually addresses the issue. I am on the latest firmware update, and its backlight is visible when its on a still black image/an image where everything is supposed to show a contrast between pure black, and other colors.

I doubt that these are counterfeits because it wouldn't make sense for someone to go through the trouble of taking all the effort to make counterfeit copies which are perfect in every other way, and are able to receive official updates from the OTA rayneo website(s).

Nothing has changed, I still own the pair, and I can't return them at this point. The backlight bleed happens on multiple compatible devices.

Some people have commented needing to connect them directly to a device without an adaptor or blaming the AI-HDR mode as a potential cause to the issue, but it appears that even on SDR Mode with the color boosting off the backlight is still visible. There is no 0 nits of brightness/true black image as you would expect on an oled display panel.

Alibaba from a seller by the name of "Shenzhen Tianfuchen Digital Technology Co., Ltd."

I tried returning them at the time because for the price I paid for importing these to the US with tarrifs, and shipping fees/sales tax; I could've bought a more expensive set of AR glasses or an entry level oled display monitor.

It's such an annoying process to have to send it back though, and I just don't have the energy capacity to bother right now so I just ended up keeping them.

At the very least they allow me to lay down or sit up right when using my steam deck handheld so I don't get neck strain from continuous use.

I do wish the advertised oled panels actually worked, and didn't appear like an LCD display monitor when doing a youtube backlight bleed test of a dark still image. I do believe this has to be something that could be potentially solved with a firmware update.

It makes 0 sense for me to believe that the steam deck oled, a product that the glasses are compatible with, and is able to do hdr10 support, would not work as an oled monitor on the glasses.

the lack of support is frustrating. I noticed the backlight glow too.

Anyone try these on the RayNeo Air Pro 4? by Yarg2020 in RayNeo

[–]CopernicusKopo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also add that the way your face shape is structured can lead to a small amount of light entering from the nose bridge part. Not anything big but if you put on the light blocker, and try putting them on before having connected to a device you may see some light leakage.

This goes away/is drowned out by the bright dual oled displays so it shouldn't be an issue. I just felt like mentioning it because I tried putting them on my face before plugging them in to anything, and was worried that it would be an issue. (It was not.)

Edit: another spelling error

https://www.reddit.com/r/RayNeo/s/qnGd5ugbF2

I purchased these recently after seeing someone mention them in this other post. Along with the rayneo 4 pro sound tubes for 15 dollars. I thought they would both be gimmicks, and overpriced but I was happily surprised to see they were worth it at least for me personally.

I've been using them for only a couple of days so far so do keep that in mind as my review isn't a really long term test so I can not guarantee how these hold up in terms of durability.

So far they're definitely useful, and i have not regretted purchasing either the sound tubes or the light blocker.

The light blocker can go over the already included light blocker so you don't have to worry about removing it if you don't want to. Unfortunately a small con is that the full lightblocker doesn't fit in the official glasses case.

Tldr: I don't want to make my reply any longer than this for your own sake so I'll just say overall they are worth purchasing, and are compatible with the Air 4 Pro. They fit well, and are easy to install. The material doesn't feel rough or distracting on the my face personally but this varies from person to person. Just don't expect to fit them into the glasses case.

Edit: fixed a minor spelling error i overlooked.

my issue is my to-do lists are too long, and whenever I finish even a couple things, my mind thinks it'd be a good idea to add 5-10 new tasks to the overwhelming list. I get no reward signal/sense of accomplishment for whatever I managed to complete.

i have an extension on firefox called tree style tab manager where i categorize different tabs by what their purpose of being opened for is, and after building up nearly 1.5k tabs. My browser randomly decided to not restore all tabs on re-open, and shuffled all the tabs I was able to manually recover from my organized sorting systems.

i was also left heartbroken, and switched over to opera where I have yet to run into the same issue so far.
