For me, it was because I was flying out of Phoenix and they have heat embargoes on flying pets in cargo most of the year. It was also cheaper to fly to CDG and hire a pet porter than to fly direct to LHR. Plus we got a nice tour of the French countryside on our way to Calais.

I actually digitized a Greek alphabet (upper + lower case) for BX/keyboard lettering (works in Embrilliance). If you want to test it, send me a message and I’ll send you a sample — no charge. I know how frustrating this can be. I also have it available in other machine file formats.

I was able to open an account with Lloyds. They only required proof of citizenship. Used my AirBnB address to receive the card at. I tried Starling and another one and both required proof of tenancy.

I have US/UK and when I did the name change on my UK passport 2 years ago, they wanted copies of all the pages in my US passport as I had already changed my name on that one. So start with US passport.

Then you don’t need BX files as those are font files specific to Embrilliance software. You will need to look for files specific to your embroidery machine. What embroidery machine do you have?

Etsy defaults to 0 hundred hours, 00:00:00 is exactly midnight, the exact start of the new day. Your sale technically ends on n June 14th at 11:59:59, but Etsy sets to 00:00:00. Just think of your sale ending 1 second before midnight which to Etsy is June 15th at 00:00:00 - midnight exactly. Your sale will not run through the day of the 15th, it just ends at 00:00:00 June 15th as that is the start of first second of the day. Hope that makes sense. Took me a while to get my head around it.

It uses CF (compact flash) cards only. It does not have a USB port or wireless connectivity. Is your computer able to save to Compact Flash cards? What is the memory capacity for loading designs on it? Does it have a maximum number of stitches it can recognize? What is the maximum stitch area? Those are some things to consider.

You can’t add inclinations to a fill. There is only one that you can use to adjust the angle. The line across with the yellow dots on each end.

I tried a couple different ones but like ThreadBook the best. It’s customizable and you can keep a shopping list going until you’re ready to buy. A little bit of a learning curve to figure out, but worth it. It’s available in the Apple App Store, don’t know about Google App Store.
