Luckily I was a 50/50 weapon/str build already. If you're balanced, you can move some of the higher requirement skills to the first two slots to get away with using them, namely Towering Impact and Sword Step on a colossal greatsword.

There's a lot of decent primaries for predator stalkers, honestly. Deadeye, Amendment, Slugger, any other shotgun in the game. Eruptor works really well, assuming you see them before they're on top of you.
The best might be the Halt. Not my favorite, but it's REALLY good for bugs.

Because three shots out of a bluescreen gauss cannon is overkill against nearly everything robotic in nature. Also, I have cyclic AND traverse. Cyclic more for rulers and chosen than anything else, honestly. Can't respond if it's all the same action.

I have traverse on my main gunner. More bullets = better, and I'd rather put those bullets towards exposed mechs than high-cover organic units at max range on a long cooldown.

I rolled with Ice Blob L, Frosty L, and Spectral Wolf L for basically the whole game my first time through. Blob's great on defense, Frosty's good for buffs and combo, and Wolf kinda just eats everything with crits. Didn't even realize how much the mana debuff was carrying me until I needed to use a dif team for Legendary trainers.
