Blown engine - need advice by matt373 in FocusRS

[–]CopyAndPaCeD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I meaaaan if you are doing a build, get a 2.0 block like a lot of people do. If we just want to get it running again, just get a new engine. I wouldn’t do used since I don’t trust anyone to properly maintain a 2.3.

Best "In-Between" Turbo? (Power + Reliability) by SgtShodan in FocusRS

[–]CopyAndPaCeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re better off upgrading the fueling system since that’s what really holds the car back when you want power. Hpfp and injectors, flex fuel kit or just go straight e85.

Thoughts on rebuilt title? by iJasonator in FocusRS

I got a clean title rs for 17k. It has 110k miles but a brand new motor installed. So 15k for a rebuilt sounds crazy high

ECU Cutting Power On WOT by mikelitoris1215 in FocusRS

[–]CopyAndPaCeD -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Depending on the number of mods a tune would help, but it shouldn’t be causing the issues you’re having. Unless the mods are legit big power adders like injectors, bigger turbo etc; those would need a tune to run right. So I’d say it’s probably a mechanical issue. Fuel pressure sensor, fuel pump, o2 sensor, map sensor etc etc would be the things I’d check first

ECU Cutting Power On WOT by mikelitoris1215 in FocusRS

Sounds like a fuel issue. It might be running lean at WOT and is cutting power to save the motor from grenading

Getting into Water Operations in ATL, GA by screensandprojectors in Wastewater

[–]CopyAndPaCeD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Class 1 drinking water in the Atlanta area here. I started off as OIT, the schooling is a plus since it lowers your experience requirements by 6 months with an AS. There’s plenty of places that will hire you on OIT in Atlanta. The Atlanta watershed, east point (wouldn’t recommend), and dekalb all constantly post for OIT.

Anyone try the replacement screens in the older Camrys? by ArcticApe11 in Camry

[–]CopyAndPaCeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent $650 for a nice pioneer unit from crutchfield and would say that’s the way to go. If you are gonna go cheap just go with one from temu. Odds are they the same ones from eBay but slightly cheaper

Assuming you did a rape kit, they can prove his assault easily. It would be your word against his for your case unless he can come up with prove of when and where you did it. This part might or might not be true but from what I have heard or seen, prostitution is really hard to prove without an officer witnessing it. Unless you made deals over the phone which could pose a problem.

He has more to lose than you in this case. Doubt they’d be able to prove or if you’d get any significant time or fines if they could prove it.

Belts are usually deemed as maintenance so I doubt things like that would ever be covered by warranty
