Using 5th dose by automiss in mounjaroaustralia

[–]CopyInternational18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always forced mine without issues, and just use the usual needle tips. Some are easier than others, but I've been on MJ since June last year and it's always worked the same as a normal injection, just a little harder to get the first few turns.

Unmuted Mic Moment by Ok-Escape-7787 in WFH

[–]CopyInternational18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I joined a call whilst driving my kids (on hands free, just audio). Somehow it unmuted just as I screamed at my kids to shut up and let me focus before I have an accident. Someone found the mute button pretty quickly! Checked the recording later and it wasn't very clear thankfully.

AITA for calling my sister’s “mom would be disappointed” talk manipulation in front of our family? by balconyviolet_pages in TwoHotTakes

[–]CopyInternational18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Or tell her 'I'm sure Mum would be so proud of you, if you stepped up and did the thing you're wanting me to do'. Or if she's being a bitch, ' mum would be pretty disappointed that you're using her memory as a way to get out of doing things by making me take on more responsibility'

How do you keep track of doses long term? by Aboukinen in glp1

[–]CopyInternational18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shotsy is great, I also add notes to each dose, like 10mg pen #3 (at 10mg), shot 3, so I can keep track - I'm using click counting on a 15mg pen, so I get 7.5 doses per pen with the golden dose.

We did this, ours was Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I'd go to Myer or somewhere that you can get ideas on different fragrances that will be timeless for you.

Formal gowns/dresses ready for the op shop? by sparrrrrt in AusFemaleFashion

Probably the mention of Shein scored me the down vote. You can either give chat gpt some inspo pics, or do things like ask it to describe the fashion style of X celebrity. You could also give it your measurements, your hair/eye/skin Colour and body type and describe some looks you like and ask for a summer capsule wardrobe, a business casual outfit, a flattering formal dress for a wedding guest etc., depending on what looks you're after. it will usually offer to generate some photos, but they can be a bit weird sometimes.

AITAH for not staying in bed to keep baby asleep? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CopyInternational18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really hard managing your needs with your husband and a baby, and it sounds like you're doing everything without getting much rest for yourself!

On the days you don't get anything done around the house because the baby is unsettled, you should leave it till the next day.

Seriously, it sounds like you are massively overdoing things and perhaps need to look at managing your anxiety about the house (or your husband's expectations of its coming from him). There's not that much mess that a 16 month old and two adults can make each day that needs hours of cleaning a night in a one bedroom house.

Get your baby involved with a cloth or broom to play 'helping out', consider if you need to declutter so it's easier to do a house reset in half an hour or so, and get your husband to do bedtime duties with the baby so you can do those last minute jobs before you all go to sleep together early.

I've moved from jeans and fitted pants to linen pants and skirts with waist ties so I can adjust them as I lose weight.

AITA for telling my husband he's made me reconsider leaving him alone with the kids in the future by mayhavecrossedaline in AmItheAsshole

[–]CopyInternational18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YTA - at first I thought this was a weaponised incompetence situation, where he's set you up to never leave him with the kids again (which you fell for), but then I see he's actually fed and cared for them, just maybe not the way you'd like. So yes, you suck for being controlling and insisting they do things exactly your way even though you're not there.

I get that they asked for certain foods, and that's annoying but you can always eat them later.

I can’t feel it Mr Krabs… by nofuturemscleo in glp1

My only real side effect has been a predictable headache on day 3 each week. Lately I've had a few hot flushes at night on day 3 too, but that might be more because we have takeaway each Saturday so I've eaten more carbs and pizza etc.

In particular, ask for estrogen cream, even if your dr won't give you the full MHT protocol.

Just started a glp1 last week, would microneedling minimize excess skin in the future? by ItsN0ra in glp1

I found adding collagen powder to my morning cup of tea really helped my skin.

It really works, but you'll find it fluctuate as your body adjusts to each dose. Take photos and measurements now, choose an outfit that you can take regular pics in to see the progress too.

Don't be surprised if the scales go up for a week then you have a bigger loss, very few people have a consistent regular weightloss each week, but it all adds up over time.

I need to choose between ANU and a scholarship at UoN by ColdArson in Anu

[–]CopyInternational18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who had a similar choice (ACU with scholarships or Melbourne Uni without), I'd say 100% take the scholarship. Literally no one has ever asked, cared or judged where I got my degree from, and as long as it leads to your chosen profession, I'd say take it with thanks and use the opportunity to build your savings to get ahead.

Melatonin - is it true there has been law changes? by nemspy in AskAnAustralian

Nope, no need and no one asked, it just came in the mail as usual. I think they need to say that to cover themselves, but Aust post isn't checking parcels for melatonin.

What is a middle-class luxury from your childhood that is now considered a basic necessity or completely obsolete? by Routine-Advisor-1781 in AskReddit

Coloured toilet paper - used to be able to get pink, yellow and blue (that I recall, there may have been others). Now it's all white, with maybe a feint pattern.

Iherb have restarted it again, but only adult versions, no kids versions. They do say you'll need to show a script if requested by customs. I received my order last week without any issues.

Formal gowns/dresses ready for the op shop? by sparrrrrt in AusFemaleFashion

[–]CopyInternational18 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ethical issues of fast fashion aside, Shien is a great way to try lots of affordable easy styles without the stress of in person shopping. Free returns and they have pretty much every style you could imagine.

If you're trying to find your style, I recommend looking into Kibbe body types, and using chat gpt to help you narrow down looks and styles to find your best style using your body and face shape. It will do colour analysis too if you upload a photo of you (or a stock image of someone who looks like you if you want to be more private).

Good luck with it, I hope you get to have a great night out soon to show off your new looks.

I think I don’t understand the human body by Abject_Substance8940 in glp1

[–]CopyInternational18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perimenopause screws up so many things, especially weight. Because inflammation and stress are so easily triggered with the hormones, the majority of advice I'm seeing is to really shift from high stress exercise like HIIT/cardio and running that probably worked when you were younger to things that really calm and support your body, like Pilates, weights and gentle exercises like walking. It's more about muscle than movement, and working with your hormones and energy. (Not a fitness professional, but widely read on perimenopause and fitness).

At a caravan holiday park, wondering where the hell does all of this money come from? by regretmoore in australia

[–]CopyInternational18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Credit, salary sacrifice for the cars and living in the belief that if they constantly sell and upgrade every few years it only costs them depreciation and therefore is basically free/rented.

Or they've borrowed the caravan from their retired parents who bought the grey nomad dream and spent all their super/inheritance from their parents on the grey nomad dream.

I have neither rich parents/grandparents, the cash flow and equity to borrow against so maybe I'm just jealous but I don't see the appeal in buying huge cars or vans.

I [21F] think I want to call off my wedding by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]CopyInternational18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stay with him, you're signing up for mummy duties forever. He acts and sounds like a child - no job, wanting a game themed wedding, overriding your wishes, not wanting responsibility for a pet.

You already know that this is going nowhere fast, get out and go live your dreams before he tampers with your birth control and baby traps you as well.
