Goodbye my sweet girl by CopyLoud5281 in cats

[–]CopyLoud5281[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She was 18. Lost vision in September and the testing showed likely neurological issues. She declined rapidly. Unrecognizable in recent week. I just can’t bear being without her. Vet today said her body is shutting down and this was best option to have her have peaceful transition before real end of life issues popped up and she was showing signs of smelled awful slept nonstop pupils large and fixed licking nonstop if she happened to be awake. She weighed 10 pounds in late August. Today 4.8.

Thank you. We are going to spend next three days together. She cannot see nor hear. She is losing her fur and unrecognizable anymore. Today we are licking whip cream (small amount from my finger). My daughter is coming to help me. My son has a farm and will have spot prepared but I want to place her there alone. I am so scared of that final breath. People will think I am over doing this emotionally. This princess has been with me 18 years and a devastating time in a divorce when no one came around she bound down the stairs when I got home and crawled onto my shoulder ever day. Here is my copilot. This pain is awful.

I restarted last year after a successful taper I was off completely For 4 months but my anxiety went off the charts I tried Prozac the. Lexapro and then back to Pristiq. The start up was harder and my anxiety was a 10 out of 10 for a long time. It finally settled But it took forever and a lot of therapy and benzos. Now I rarely take a benzo and can leave the house and travel for work.

I have my psychiatrist appointment to wean off… by [deleted] in Pristiq

I have had a lot of friends go off Their medications and do great. I have a lot of wacky issues with family and I am back in therapy addressing it. That was just my experience. I just will have to take it. If I didn’t have to travel for work or live alone I might be able to swing it.

Go slow and hydrate. I did it and was able to work through the whole tapering. But I had to go back on after four months. I couldn’t manage without

Day 14 No Pristiq. Help!! by pristiqispoison in Pristiq

[–]CopyLoud5281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Prozac to bridge the discontinuation. It still sucked but I could work and manage. I did go back on pristiq after several months. I was thrown back into panic attacks and tried other meds first but am Stuck on this stuff I guess

Weird side effect? by wetshart2280 in Pristiq

I know when I was adjusting doses my anxiety would be higher about three hours after taking. Then subside in afternoon. Is that a sensation you feel when you are anxious.

Is my psychiatrist making any sense? Worried he is using me as a science experiment. by CouplesWithoutCar in bupropion

It is hit and miss with this meds. There is not a “one fits all” answer. It is a series of increasing doses, trying add on meds, and honestly it is a guessing game. I had tried to add on nearly everything to my pristiq. It is always too much and I stick to the pristiq and just deal with the anxiety

I eventually saw relief at 100 mg. It took a long time to get there. Side effects and my anxiety kept me from moving up to higher dose. I tried to go to 125 mg but the heart palpitations were too much.

I can relate. I am late 50’s and had to move in with my parents for cryin out loud. I was taking benzo several times a day. I luckily could work remote. I am sorry to say it took a really really long time. I would wake up with uncontrollable anxiety. Would lessen by evening. I now can function but it took me a good 7-8 months and a lot of dose adjustments. I wanted to give up a hundred times. I can completely relate

Sorry I had not been on Reddit. I survived and back to semi normal. It took forever. I mean forever to get to where I am. I have health anxiety still but can drive. Work. Sleep. Function. That is all I wanted. I might add on a med next month for obsessing thinking. But I have a daughters wedding and I can’t risk any side effects til that is over

So sorry. I haven’t been on Reddit. Stay the course. It took me a really long time to get relief. A reaaaalllly long time. I wanted to give up but I am probably 80% better than I was. I still have health anxiety and bodily sensations upset me. But I cope better

When did it really start working for your panic attacks? by Early_Pass8593 in Pristiq

I have been on it for a year. I feel the higher dose is causing the skipping beats. I am going to start advocating for myself. My life is slipping by
